Well considering they copied it from A&M....

There was zero mention of dead dogs and jars......

Having said that, the whole Landshark thing started with Tony Fein (who died from an overdose in 2009) as a nod to his Army unit from the Iraq War.

Maybe he was referring to the Urban Dictionary listing of "land shark"

Then I could understand the aTm connection

The stuffed animal sales for the kids should be tremendous.

I imagine the stuffed bears were a solid seller as well.

No one wanted the bear it was hoisted on the community by admin. The shark is different tho. Tony F. Made it into something the fans embraced. I know OM fans and MSU fans who buy everything with a logo on it. Good friends of mine have toddlers and are big OM supporters and I bet they would. Wonder if it is dead or will keep going? State had tried to resurrect bulldog blitz at one time.

I liked and wanted the bear. It was an "ok" mascot. Pushed for a live bear habitat like Mike the Tiger. Don't tell me what OM fans wanted or didn't want. Maybe the old 60+ crowd didn't want it, but they are also the only morons who wanted to reinstate Col. Reb.

Based on recruiting this year, they may want to swap over to LandLines.
