FOOTBAW!
Laugh at the Taters now!
Tigers have now passed the Gators and their weak weather ways...
Tigers have pulled even with former SEC team in Georgia (Bumbles, not Dawgs)
Tigers have fewer than the Vols but are more relevant in the modern era
So really, who is left to chase?

If Oklahoma State doesn’t blow a 24-7 third quarter lead to Iowa State in the final regular season game, LSU and Bama would each have 4 championships each this century.

Oklahoma St should have been the opponent regardless. After LSU beat Bama at their place that should have eliminated them from the championship. Remember when Saban won here Oklahoma lost their championship game and was still playing LSU in the championship game.

If Bo Scarborough doesn't break his leg in the 3rd qtr in 2016 or if Kiffin runs Derrick Henry instead of TJ Yeldon in 2014 or if Nick Saban doesn't trot out a shitty kicker at Auburn in 2013 etc.
Bama and LSU are not close to equal.
LSU probably has more 3rd place SECW finishes than 1st in the last decade.

Eh.... LSU wasn't the best team that season. That's all there is to it IMO.

Saban would have left for UT and Bama would be in the crapper

That’s strange considering the series record is 10-10 this century in conference games.
It’s also odd that Bama and LSU are #1 and 2 out of all FBS teams in terms of championships won this century.
Seems pretty equal to me.

Les Miles would still be at LSU if we win in 2011 and we may not have won this year

Neat. Let's see what happens when Bama plays that game.
2008 - If Alabama doesn't blow a 4th qtr lead to UF.
2009 - Championship
2010 - If Alabama doesn't blow a 28-point lead to AU.
2011 - Championship
2012 - Championship
2013 - If Alabama has one person tackle the kick-six return
2014 - If Blake Sims connects with the last pass
2015 - Championship
2016 - If Clemson gets called for the illegal pick play at the end.
2017 - Championship
2018 - If Alabama doesnt have it's 2 best defensive players out in the national championship.
2019 - If both of Alabama's ILB don't go down before the season and Tua was 100%.
12 > 4
Every season since 2008 Alabama has either won the national championship or was beaten by the national champion. Except 2013.

Well in 2010 and 2019 you were beat by the national team plus someone else (and USC in 2010)

Irrelevant really.
If the eventual national champion wasn't on the regular season schedule.
But if Alabama beats AU this year they're in the CFP. Alabama goes to the BCS/CFP.
Quite remarkable.

I get it, but Les wouldn't have been run off if he won 2011. He'd still be running us into the ground w/ a lack of lineman recruiting. I don't see a 2019 championship in this scenario.

I’m looking forward to the Bama-LSU games.

Lot of ifs. It’s fun to look back say “if”. There’s a few Bama can do too. College football huh?

If Kick 6 hadn’t happened...
If Bama had continued to run Henry against tOSU in the 2014 CFP...
If JPW had made a play or two against UF in the 2008 SECCG...
If Tua didn’t get hurt against Tennessee this year...
Gosh, we’d have 9 NCs this century to LSU’s 1.5.

So a single LSU fan does ONE “what if,” and multiple Bama fans do one for every season.
We can do the same thing for every game and every season in the history of football but we’re not that pitiful.

Sorry you got upset over our little what if game.

On the contrary, I am loving this entire exchange. Proud to be a tiger fan
