2 losses in 2 years to the same team. 29 in a row in the SEC is a damn good streak. But do you Georgia fans feel like this?

We can only beat bama outside the southeast apparently

They won two championships in a row. I imagine they feel just as elite as bama

Yes they are elite not questioning that. I'm just saying, Bama is the only team that beat them in 2 years.

Nah, Georgia fans ain't thinking this much about Bama. I live among them. Most of them were ok with Bama getting in after they lost the SEC (after a few days of grieving for sure).

We lost as many games and won as many nattys in as many years. We lost to a title contender and not a mid-tier or less program. And the future looks bright. Nothing to really complain about.

They get a chance to beat the Tide in Tuscaloosa in 2024. We shall see what’s possible.

I do feel like Kirby makes some unusual decisions when we play Bama and that we play not to lose, so yes.

I still don't count the refs gifting you all one as a loss.

I think what causes this is that the games between Bama and Georgia are just tight as hell.
Saban does the same thing when it gets down to a dog fight. He goes completely conservative.
I think it's just the way in-game coaching goes at that level.

Good because I don’t count the one with injuries a couple of weeks after Bama dismantled Georgia!

Injuries happen. You still have to play the game. That's not even in the same universe as referees gifting you a game.

Not anymore. You didn't really win this year. You just got the right numbers on the scoreboard.

Partially, but the 2021 SECCG and 2023 SECCG (particularly 2021) were real head scratchers for me. It was like our LBs forgot how to play football, and I think it may have been due to scheme and playing nervous. On offense, there are too many wasted possessions trying to run into a stacked box. We just seem to play and coach nervous. Some of that is due to Bama's talent level, admittedly. But frankly, Bama was not as good as I thought they would be in the SECCG this year and we still found a way to lose.

I mean I guess so it's not like Bama was better that day or outcoached us that day or anything.
Sorry you guys can't beat us anymore we have to beat ourselves these days. /s

Clemson probably felt that way too. Georgia has a long way to go to catch up

Bama’s last championship was 2017, and this was an artificial and fluke national championship appearance. Even TCU did better. I would not call them elite at the present moment. Nebraska was elite in the 90s.
