Where did I admit that? If he stayed at WHS, he would be making up those same classes during the summer and have a much smaller chance of making it through the NCAA clearinghouse than if he takes them during the year at Foley.

And I was speculating that he flunked them which is why I edited out. Could be he just wasn't taking the necessary core classes in previous years.

Why would you or anyone have a problem with him transferring schools to try to get eligible to play football at a 4 year college? Would you feel the same way if it were an Auburn recruit?

Why do some quotes have a grey line above and below the quote, while some only have the quote with only a grey line on top?

This is a tired subject.

Here's a better (more intelligent in my opinion) question -

Why can't colleges help kids get eligible?

Why can't an Alabama or Auburn coach provide a student-athlete with the best possible options to get eligible?

I'm failing to see what the problem is.

Provided, there's been no evidence that grades are being changed or extra benefits being given.

As long as the kid is being given a legit opportunity to obtain college eligibility, we should be lauding the story.

So you admit he has already flunked out at his old school and he's just gaming another school just to get eligibility. Okay, thanks for clarifying.

So a kid shouldn't try to better himself by going to a school with an academic curriculum that is conducive to his individual needs so that he may graduate from high school?

They can. As long as the college doing it happens to be the college you are a fan of. Otherwise it is wrong, evil, and a detriment to college athletics.

He said he was, but I believe he has always planned on flipping, just wanted to wait until signing day (Trooper). The Bama coaches realized this and called him out. Hence, the reason he was pissed, flipped, and got the AU tat.

I have a crazy idea... Why can't these kids make themselves eligible?

Why do they need a college coach being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to take over their high school curriculum?

Auburn was barely on his radar when he moved to Auburn. He didn't think about flipping until he saw how great the place, coaches, and his future teammates were.

All mine are above and below. What device/monitor/resolution you looking at? Your video driver may be throwing that line out depending on if you're in zoom mode, etc.

Just on my regular computer. For example, look at jatebe's post three above yours. The first quote has a line above only. The second quote has a line above and below. At least for me.

You're absolutely right. It'd be much easier to just persuade the guidance counselor to change his grades.

I don't think you have a good feel for the timeframe of his recruitment. The majority of Alabama fans were in denial, so it's OK and understandable.

Good God... a video driver would never affect the way html/css text is displayed within your browser.

That's a joke and you know it. If the kid was seriously interested in his academic standing then he would have done what it took at the school he was attending. I can't imagine the school he was attending in Pensacola being a Academic Juggernaut high school.

The big-picture problem here is there are a whole lot of kids that don't take academics seriously. Because of athletic talent they get pushed along in the system and they don't learn fundamentals that will help them in life.

They all think they are going to be the next big thing in the NFL and the overwhelming vast majority will never touch a NFL roster.

If you can't see all the problems associated with a college football assistant "guiding" a high school athlete to a school then I simply don't know what to say. The kid is a pawn and is being used by a bunch of adults that aren't his parents. This whole ordeal from the High School AD and Bama football coach stinks.

Shame on his idiot parents for not making him take his academics seriously long ago and allowing their son to be a pawn in this whole mess. His parents should be ashamed of themselves.
