I'll certainly miss it. Games are long but there's nothing like an intense 4th quarter once the sun has gone down.
Picture quality on ABC is arse. Hopefully ESPN 4K makes strides. They had a Georgia vs a directional school in 4K a couple years ago and the picture was stunning.

. I hate him for saying basic football stuff like he just made some scientific breakthrough discovery
1) He's not broadcasting for a group of college head coaches. He's broadcasting to all of america. His presentation has to be consumable by as wide of an audience as possible. Of course a lot of what he says is going to sound basic to someone that knows the game
2) Often time, like an uncanny amount of times relaly, he'll predict what playl is about to be run before the ball is snapped. He obviously knows a frickton about the sport and does enough prep taht he is extremely well prepared. Then after the play he'll break down why he knew what was happening based on formation, motion, whatever. I've always thought he does a tremendous job of balancing the more in depth (like point 2 here) with point 1.

I also hate them because they never know what the reviews are about when everyone at home knows what the replay is about. Brad and Gary have no clue like 90% of the time. Then Gary is like, "oh I guess they were reviewing if his foot went out of bounds" 5 min later.
seems like a strange and very oddly specific complaint, I'm guessing this was an isolated incident that's stuck in your mind for whatever reason. They are part of the broadcast team that is airing what you see at home....if you're seeing it they obviously see it too.

That is kind of my point. It was 3 or 4 times last year where it was QB passed LOS or lineman down field or things like that and Gary spends 5 minutes saying "I don't know what they are reviewing" or they are looking at an obvious catch in slow motion not even knowing what is going on.

Thanksgiving Weekend should be:
Missouri @ Arkansas Friday
Alabama @ Auburn Saturday
Then SEC Championship will be the last game.

CBS really sets the stage for dramatic games.
All games on ABC/ESPN seem the same. Hot garbage

Not the same without Verne. And the games are still like 6 hours long.
I wish they were longer. It's the shortest season of any of the major sports. Never have complained about game length one time.

Say what you will about the run time and commercials and Gary, but I'm really going to miss the SEC on CBS. That was an institution in the South. The Mouse feels so much more hollow.

So last time State was on CBS was 2020 LSU?

I never understood the LSU hate for G Danielson.
I thought he was one of the best ever.
He is very knowledgeable but he acts like everything he says is the most profound statement ever. It rubs me the wrong way.

Sankey got played by ESPN. He signed a long arse contract that hasn't even kicked in yet and it already pays less than the existing BigTen contract.
The SEC needs a new commissioner.

Games could be 10 hours long and I would love it but when it disrupts the flow of the game, that's when I have a problem with it, and honestly, when the games are so long, you aren't seeing any more football, you are only seeing more commercials.

This is only temporary. In 2025, we meet them and then surpass them again.

Then he repeats the same phrase for the entirety of the game sometimes using good examples but mostly using bad examples. Danielson is really not that great.

Agree 100 %.
I’ve never understood the hate for Danielson. He’s definitely one of the best analysts in the business. I’ve seen him predict plays and who’s getting the ball before the snap just by personnel, formation and game situation hundreds of times. He does his homework. Dude played QB 10 years in the NFL. He knows his shite.
As for his supposed dick riding of Bama… I don’t think he does. But let’s say he does. Well, for 15 years Bama has been the best there is. Kinda hard to criticize a team that has won 6 national championships, has 15 straight years of 10+ wins, puts up to a dozen players in the NFL just about every year, and has the best coach(es) in the business.
I’m gonna miss Gary.

I don't really care that the SEC is losing CBS due to their commercials, and Gary. But I'm pretty disappointed that NBC couldn't have worked out.

Alabama fans: "Gary is the worst! HE hates alabama! All he does is root for the other team, he's practially giddy any time someone scores on us. I can't even listen to him, I have to mute the games and listen to the radio!"
Every other team: "Gary is the worst! He fellates bama every chance he gets. He talks about alabama even in games they aren't playing! HE never misses a chance to bring them up unprompted whenever he can. he's the absolute worst!"
People simply get an idea in their head, probably originating from some shitty meme on facebook, then they take it as gospel and pretend like it's undeniable truth.
People hate just to hate and unless the announcer is just hailing them as the best ever then they think he is against them. Who gives a shite what an announcer thinks. When I watch a game on tv I'm watching the game and basically don't hear much of what they have to say.
