wins in the history of college football.

I mean, isn't it like beating Kentucky? A nice win, but totally expected?

When did beating Texas aTm become a season defining moment for anybody?

It'll be a season defining moment for us if we beat them this year.

It’s notre dame. They’ve been getting their teeth kicked in by the SEC for decades

Says the SEC fan whose team has been protected from ever coming to play at Kyle Field.

It's just ESPN propping up Marcus Freeman

See, this is what I'm talking about. This person ^^^ thinks you are 'protected' if you don't play at Kyle Field.

Where does this come from?

"Protected" like it's some sort of death trap to play in. Plenty of fairly mediocre teams have proven that not to be the case over the years

Because looking at their schedule it will be one of their biggest games along with USC. They have to blow this up to promote them into the playoffs.

A&M may have a good season supporting that position. If they don’t the talk will all be for nothing.

It’s season defining because look at the rest of their schedule.

They are told by their department heads who are told by the head of the company to speak favorably of ND and other big money teams so it helps them when it comes time to negotiate TV deals

Simple as that.

Almost everyone nowadays is financially compromised.

My wife is a doctor, you wouldn't believe how bad your medical professionals are screwing you over, and you get it worse when the really bad things happen.

Luckily for me I have DIRECTV so I don’t have ESPN currently. And even when I do, I rarely tune in to that Stephen A Stiff love fest channel

This. I think ND makes the cfp with 1 loss...but no way should they get in with 2 losses. I like Riley Leonard so I do hope they make the cfp...but after this season it's back to hating ND.

As for their schedule...FSU and USC were their remaining "big" games...now it looks like they just have 1...but they're prone to slipping up to a Louisville or GA Tech most seasons.
