He had ample time after he inquired about the transfer to collect his stuff. When he didn't, he gave up his rights to complain about what happened to it. It's pretty simple.

"Ample time"

Dude, the only thing listed that's "easily replaceable" were his written goals. Photos are for some people, but not all photos have copies.
Is this really that complicated for you to grasp?

He expressed interest to transfer on the 16 of June. His shite was trashed on the 17th.
And inquiring about a transfer doesn't mean shite. You can inquire about a transfer and change your mind.

Actually, according to the article he informed Saban he would be transferring on the 16th and his shite was in the trash on the 17th.
Do you need me to quote it again?

So he informs the team of his wanting to transfer, then is surprised they dont want him in the facilities....???
If you put in a 2 weeks notice to your employer, do they just throw you stuff in a trashcan and ban you from the building?

Ehh, the staff should/could have handled this better. Should have been more professional about it IMO.
There was no point in pissing on the guy after he did what he was supposed to do for 3 years. He worked hard enough to graduate in 3 yrs, stayed out of trouble and contributed to the team. While I agree with Saban not giving him a clean waiver to play immediately for Kirby/Mel, the whole locker thing was in poor taste.
Agree with all of this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with blocking a transfer to immediately play at another SEC school. But, due to Smith's hard work graduating in 3 years, he still has a redshirt year to burn and can play at UGA if that's really where he wants to be.

They are more than likely easily replaceable.

The process actually began on June 13, according to the letter, when Smith initially requested a “permission to contact” from Alabama’s compliance department.

Really?
Because frick A&M and frick Dennis Franchione, I hope they enjoyed every minute of that wind bag.

That's quite an assumption.

I mostly agree, though I do think it is shitty of Smith to wait until after spring practice to inform them of his transfer wishes. Doesn't justify the way they allegedly treated him, but neither side appears to have handled this very well, IMO.
eh, he was probably worried about losing his scholarship for the spring and summer term and was on pace to graduate this summer.

Some places immediately escort you out and don't allwo you to work out a notice. I had a job like that. They didn't even let me go back to my cubicle and clean it out.
It's not common, but it happens.

Did Mo really think having his mommy blow this up in the media in a way that would piss Saban off would actually help his already slim chances of getting a waiver? Whatever tiny chance he had of winning his appeal at UA is gone now without a doubt. I'm sure Saban already informed that committee of what their decision will be.

They made a very elegant defense. They said that he's no longer at Alabama, so he has to clean his stuff out. If he didn't do it by a particular deadline it goes in the trash. Makes sense to me.

I'm going by what's right in front of my face. I'm sorry I can comprehend that something being made of paper doesn't make it meaningless or easily replaceable.

So? You don't throw it away less than a day later.Like I said, you box it up for them and tell them to pick it up, like a fricking grown up.
EVERYBODY cleans out their own locker, you idiot.
