Johnson was a really good pocket passer in HS (he destroyed an Auburn HS defense that had like five future D1 players and two draft picks). Looked the part in clean-up time while backing up Nick Marshall, but when he took over, it became very obvious that he couldn’t read a defense to save his life. It got to his head early and he never recovered

Yes. Made the throws in practice, then he made some mistakes in a few games , and it got in his head, and he lost all confidence in himself and never bounced back.

He was eventually benched and Sean White took over.

Obvious reasons why UGA should be favored? Also absolutely

Really? Mind sharing those? Because after Saturday I can't see any obvious reasons we should be favored. Reasons Auburn should be favored?

1. They beat a better team than we did.
2. They looked more polished than we did.
3. They return their QB with another year under his belt while we are playing musical chairs with our QB.

I am hoping for a close game, and hope we can pull it out. I think we can, but I don't see any obvious reasons why we should be favored.

Our o-line is suspect and our d-line is gonna need a little bit more time to get it together

WRs and DBs are amazing. LBs stout. Nix is improving. Hard to judge RBs bc of line issues.

You're insane if you think we have SEC speed

Kirby should allow Dwan Mathis to have 4 quarters this week to prove what he can do.

UGA struggled with a winless SEC Conference team for a half.

Arkansas shut down the run/passing game for a HALF.

Yes, the Arky defense wore out but if they had depth they wouldve kept the game closer.

Stick with the C tier trolling in your OPs, when you talk about actual football you show just how retarded you actually are.

Our DLine is very, very good. That could spell trouble for Auburn.

Our OLine did not look very good Saturday. This could be a push. We looked better in the second half, but I'm not sure if it was because of our depth, or we got our act together or what.

Williams looked like a beast for you guys....but that was to be expected. He was really good last year, too.
Your DB verses our WRs could be the most intriguing matchups. Our WRs looked really, really good Saturday. Thy caught balls in tight windows and made plays all day long.

LBs stout.
Some of, if not the best in the SEC.

Nix is improving.
He seemed to have had a hiccup or two, but overall he looked more poised and settled. I think he is going to look really good at the end of they year and be absolutely scary next year.

They looked young, but have a lot of talent. Overall Auburn looked pretty polished and ready for the game. more ready than a lot of other teams have.

A bit of welcome relief for UGA fans, I'm sure.

I don't know enough about him to critique but it's going to take more than one player, even a QB, to improve that outdated offense. Kirby Smart is trying to win in the 2020's playing 2000's football. It ain't going to work

Crap dude. Why don't you educate yourself before posting.

The offense was completely different. I didn't think we would change it that much, but we did.

Let me give you a hint. We threw the ball 47 times and ran the ball 42 times.

I hate it when people think they know what they are talking about and clearly do not.

That’s gonna be the fun part of this game—I suspect both new offenses are about to break out some tricks for the first time.

We’ve heard all offseason about how active the TEs will be in the passing game. They caught a combined 1 (one) pass on Saturday.

Yeah, in the past (no offense) we prepared for tunnel screens and jet sweeps. Morris has really brought in a new dimension to your offense. I suspect both teams will open the playbooks and pull out the stops this week. Unfortunately we will still be feeling our way through our QB situation. I am hoping Daniels comes in in the second series and looks and feels comfortable. I was shocked at Mathis last week.

Ours caught 4 passes with one a TD. Exciting times!

Either way, I'm sure y'all's defense will give y'all more than enough cushion to figure things out

At this point, I'll believe a W in Athens when I see it

I get a lot of downvotes on the Georgia board because i say I prefer a heavy defense and power run game kind of football. I realize that it isn't feasible with the way college football is today, but there is something about bending an opponent to your will and slowly making them quit.

Like I've said...Auburn at this point just looks like the more polished team. I am hoping we can correct the weaknesses form last week, but there is a lot to correct.

It's been a tough stretch for you guys against us lately. But things always change. When you have two really good teams historically it can go back and forth. Right now the pendulum is swinging our way. It always changes, though. I just hope it doesn't start changing this week.

It will be different as it is live game action. He has a lot of reps going against our defense

get why UGA fans are celebrating this but what I don't get is why they expect him to be a savior suddenly when it's been widely reported he wasn't beating Newman or Mathis for the job? Did he suddenly get exponentially better the last week? Serious question.

It's obvious kirby can't evaluate qbs in practice so I wouldn't read to much in to it

You Tigger fans aren't very football smart. Arkansas won 19 conference games over the last 10 years.
