Let’s go Dawgs. Full speed ahead

@SethWEmerson: JT Daniels "will be cleared" to play this week vs. Auburn, per Kirby Smart. But he adds that he's not sure how much that will change the equation. Daniels will compete along with the other QBs.

I have concerns how he will handle the speed of the game early on. He has never played in the SEC and he hasn't played in general in over a year.

Playing Auburn is different than playing Oregon State and Colorado.

I expect a low scoring game. Whichever offense can capitalize off of a turnover or mistake will end up winning.

Costello adjusted to that sec speed just fine. Hoping Daniels can do half that well

He seems the best option, but I dont expect sudden magic either. I saw quite a few games at USC with him. He has a great arm but he made some very bad decisions too. Maybe he has matured, but would have to see it. Still. Better than Mathis for sure.

The thing you don’t seem to understand is we don’t expect him to be incredible or anything for a while. He just needs to be serviceable enough to get our running game going.

I get why UGA fans are celebrating this but what I don't get is why they expect him to be a savior suddenly when it's been widely reported he wasn't beating Newman or Mathis for the job? Did he suddenly get exponentially better the last week? Serious question.

Lol no it hasn’t. Nobody really knows who beat who out. They all shared 1st team reps. All 4 of our QBs are listed as 1st string on the depth chart.

who’s been getting the first team reps in practice?

ETA: **the past few weeks, sorry. Have they been splitting them the whole time?

They were sharing reps but JT hadn't been cleared yet so it would make sense to get Mathis some reps in case JT didn't get cleared in time

Kirby has always said he knew what he has in Bennett. Kirby is caught up in window dressing and wants his players to look the part. Bennett doesn't because of height but he executes the offense.

Daniels was next year's project that suddenly got illegable.

*yawns on this post too*

UGA isn't impressive at all. Roll out whatever QB you want. It's still going to be a tough game for both.
