Since when did Bama have 4 colors?

What's up with the charcoal gray? How long has that been a thing? Noticed at first it was the choice of undershirt now it's branded on all Nike gear.

the facemask has been grey for a long time. I think for
a short time they were white, but I could be wrong. It's sort of an unofficial color.

Why dont the helmets match the jerseys ?
The helmets look crimson, but the jersey is just red.
