Thank you Mr HRV for always having Missouri on your mind.

I don't know the backstory
Mizzou demanded it. OU was already known as OKU so it wasn’t a big change for them. CU was established as that prior as well, maybe NU.
Mizzou had already gone through the U of the State of Missouri fiasco and wanted clarity. Mizzou is actually short for MSU.

That’s cause Kansas is KU, not UK.

So they were like Trump. They were winners

When you say UK everyone knows you are referring to the University of Kentucky, not the University of Kansas.
Pretty sure Kansas would agree on this point since they have always referred to themselves as KU.

They are much better cheaters

I love Trump and yes he is a winner, but Kansas has no right to be in the South. Jayhawks never fly South, Bierocks are disgusting and in the south Puppy chow is made for our dogs, in Kansas it’s found on the shelves in grocery stores and gas stations and it’s their favorite snack.
UK is king of basketball. LSU is king of Baseball and Bama is King of football.
No other way around it, no other way to spin it.

Another reason to avoid reading when this name appears.

They lack the rich history of jilting Bear Bryant and abandoning football for dead in exchange for more basketball titles
Not really in same level of passion imo

I seem to recall having learned that from Cpl. Klinger in an episode of M*A*S*H several decades ago.
