Texas and Alabama will have completed their home and home before Texas joins in 2024.

Oklahoma and Georgia wouldn't have been able to complete theirs.

This year Texas is not in the SEC, so they can finish the home and home up without any issues.

Texas vs Bama is the second game in a home and home, so the series completes before they came to the SEC.

UGA/OU this year was the first half of a home and home, so the SEC told them to scrap it. They also scrapped UGA's future series with Texas (both parts).

It's very easy to makes sense of it unless you don't want to and would rather believe what you would like to.

I actually think this year would be the year to play UGA and maybe have a shot but once they get a qb going past week5 they are going to be hard to beat . It was big let down on OUs schedule it went from playing an elite team to have a boring ooc schedule . Would of loved to play the game even if it was a likely loss.

Makes no sense for the 2 game series to be canceled. This year could be a non-conference game and 2024 a conference game.
