This is stupid. Oregon still has to play Stanford and Oregon State, and then UCLA in the title game. If UCLA gets their shite together on offense, Oregon should be very worried.
Oregon is going to improve over the next 5 games. Our young running backs are finding a groove, DAT will get healthy and get to play his joker role, and our inexperienced guard rotation is getting better. What you don't realize is that our offense is plain young. We have two senior starters on offense.

quote:I understand you're trying hard not to be a homer by making questionable statements like "FSU is the better team." LMFAO at that tripe. Older or younger, real duck fans want to face Bama. Let them chant it. It's what we're all thinking anyway.
Remember this is the students doing this. Most of the older fan base blushed when they started chanting this.

If both Oregon and Florida State win out, then Oregon will go get the nod over FSU. FSU's remaining schedule does not look impressive. Virginia Tech losing to Duke did not help either.

I want Bama. However, it's tactless to chant in the 3rd game of the season.
Also, saying that FSU is probably the better team isn't questionable.
Right now FSU ranks ahead of us in both the FEI and S+P as far as offensive and defensive efficiency. They have recruited better than us and now they have an elite qb to put it all together.

quote:Who exactly have they played? WA and UCLA could beat Clemson. It's also incorrect to say that they've recruited 'better' than us. I'm sure they recruited well for their system. We have recruited well for our system. I don't give a shite about the "recruiting rankings." If we go by those alone, Tennessee should be great, but they're not. They have an elite QB, and we don't?

Marcus Mariota is considered as a potential top 5 draft pick if he leaves this year. If that isn't considered elite then I don't know what is.

That cover is the kiss of death. Bank it, Stanford beats them.

I think Oregon will go undefeated, but don't you think all the "we want Bama" nonsense is maybe just a bit premature when you still have 3 hard games on your schedule? You don't hear Bama fans talking about playing Oregon do you? They're just talking about next weekend's game with LSU.

Mariota is elite.

I'm still confused how they jumped FSU in the first place?
The PAC 12 is a stronger conference than the ACC. FSU beat Clemson. Oregon beat UCLA. But the rest of Oregon's opponents so far have been better than who FSU has played.
It's not just about the ranked teams. The unranked teams Oregon has whipped are better than the unranked teams FSU has whipped.

I mentioned that it was tactless. However, I think some SEC honks are being sensitive too. My reaction to it was exactly that...it's long season students. However, SEC fans can get their knickers in a twist when other fans aren't deep throating them.

I'm just saying that Alabama has established that they are above everybody,
Alabama has an impressive run for sure. However, LSU was the best team in 2011. In 2012, UA was gifted the Les Miles sit on it game, squeaked by UGA and won the popularity contest over Oregon for the 2 seed.
Only in 2009 was Alabama the undisputed champion. Impressive no doubt, but they have definitely benefited from the popularity contest over teams like OK st. and Oregon. If the media chose to blow those two teams up - it would be LSU champs in 11' and Oregon in 12'. There wasn't much difference and they all lost during the season.

Same shite. Different year.

Funny if only there was a system that determines who plays in the game. You know something where they vote or something. You could even call it the BCS.

Besides The National Power UCLA Who has Oregon played? It's sad when you have to hype the U Dub game FSU destroyed a top 5 Clemson, and will most likely crush a top 10 undefeated Miami team. Are these teams over rated? Yes, But Oregon is Hyping the Stanford game? They already lost to Utah??? Most SEC fans put Oregon in the same boat as all the other over rated teams, Overrated

What I love is how LSU fans were saying that Oregon would get stuffed by UCLA. When they are dismantled, it is discredited. UCLA's front seven is better than any front seven I've watched in the SEC outside of BAMA.

If Oregon and FSU win out, supposedly the computers will give the Ducks the edge.

LSU would have troubles in SLC against that team.
