Should we be expecting more suspensions from Florida?

I find it hard to believe one freshman acted alone. Usually these steroid scandals there's a whole steroid ring involved. If it comes out that the UF S&C coach was recommending this substance should Florida be hit with lack of institutional control? Or did Florida offer up Grier as a sacrificial lamb to give the rest of their players enough warning to get the roids out of their systems

Florida needs to consult with Bama on how to beat steroid drug tests. You'd think Saban would have let McElwain in on the secret when he was on Bama.

Deer antler spray doesn't show up on drug tests

I think it would require the NCAA coming in and testing the entire team at the very least.

All he has to do is get a glass of water from one of the establishments near the old trees.

We will take anyone Florida wants to get rid of. We will even take quantity over quality.

I had never heard of this stuff so I did a little googling.

quote:

LGD-4033 is a non-steroidal selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM), developed by LGD Pharmaceuticals, expected to produce the therapeutic benefits of testosterone with improved safety, tolerability and patient acceptance due to tissue-selective mechanism of action and an oral route of administration.. At present pharmaceuticals companies have about half a dozen SARMs in the pipeline, for which the first round of human studies have been successfully completed, and which could therefore be launched pretty soon. LGD-4033 is one of these.

SARMs are compounds which in terms of structure do not resemble classical anabolic steroid hormones such as testosterone and trenbolone, but which do interact with the androgen receptor. Because they are so ‘strange’ endocrinologists expect that they will have fewer side effects than their steroids, the anabolic steroids. Steroids throw processes in the body into chaos in a myriad ways because they interact with multiple receptors and enzymes. Because of their design SARMs only interact with the androgen receptor and with no other receptors. At least, that’s the idea.

LGD has discovered several novel orally active, non-steroidal SARM compounds, including LGD-4033, based on tissue-specific gene expression and other functional, cell-based technologies. In animal models, LGD-4033 demonstrates anabolic activity in muscles, anti-resorptive and anabolic activity in bones and a robust selectivity for muscle and bone versus prostate and sebaceous glands. LGD-4033 has recently completed a Phase I Multiple Ascending Dose study in healthy volunteers.

so it sounds like it intended to produce the same positive results as steroids without the inconvenience of a little nut shrinkage.

Not a steroid, an OTC thing you can fit at GNC or on Amazon that wasn't banned until this season.

No. It's an experimental research chemical that can only be bought from shady websites that market it as such. He knew exactly what he was doing.

If they (UF) were going to offer a sacrificial lamb to the NCAA, why on earth would they choose their STARTING QB?! Plus it's my understanding that when the NCAA does these drug tests, they test the whole team and there would be others suspended at this time as well. Grier acted alone and basically admitted as much by saying he (as in him, by himself) bought the shite off Amazon.

So he trafficked narcotics across state lines over the Internet?

Is the FBI aware of this?
