But yet own a 8-3-1 against Texas. Vandy is more SEC than Texas.

They've been in much longer, no argument about that. How does one school protect all the others from foia requests? I guess TCU and Baylor did the same for the Rig 12.

Doesn’t Vandy have a 5 game lead on Texas
?
Don’t be surprised if Vandy pulls a W on ya they are known to do that on occasion.

Vanderbilt is a Charter member since 1933 which texas is not.
Wish the rest of us could kick texas out just for being stupid.

Interesting tidbit. Vandy has more 9 win seasons in the last 15 years than:

Indiana has had in the last 75 years
Colorado State has had in the last 20 years
Syracuse has had in the last 20 years
Georgia Tech has had in the same timeframe
Cal has had in the same timeframe
Boston College has had in the same timeframe
Rutgers has had in the same timeframe

These are just some examples...Vandy is bad...but not uniquely bad in the big picture of FBS football.

“‘Vandy, Stanford, GT, other great academic institution with athletics that can't compete, should form their own Ivy League. “

This didn’t age well.

Tech says hold my beer … they just beat Florida State

Relegation is coming to the power conferences. Y’all just get your mind ready for it.

“Charter member” line that keeps getting repeated on here doesn’t mean shite.

This thing about private schools protecting the rest of the schools in the conference from the Foia is an urban legend that got entrenched in the public psyche somehow.

No. Vandy shouldn't move down to FCS. However, they won't be invited to the inevitable 20 to 32 team super conference like Bama, Michigan, and so on.

Fine by me. (As long as the SEC stays together for all the other sports) Get the top 30-35 semi-pro teams to form their own league and the rest of us can play regular college football. I bet we could become a top team.

Here's a fact: Georgia Tech and Tulane were short-sighted enough to leave the SEC voluntarily and look where they are now. Vandy stuck with it and have contributed over the years in basketball and baseball, if not football.

Thank you, Texas fans. You’ve really stepped up. The rest of us look tolerable now.
