Yes. I love the Greenies. They'd give us an academic school to go with Vandy.

Not unless they agree to move from the GET TOE. Listen we've already got Vandy but hey, maybe Vandy would enjoy having a whipping boy.

Sorry, the Greenies left on their own volition. The SEC has outgrown Tulane. A great university, but not SEC athletic caliber. The student body has so many foreign students that don’t know what football is, unless the ball is round.

Atlanta is ripe for Gatech to have interesting football. Maybe let them in and punt arky and zou. Maybe add a Carolina school

The weenies play in a mabe 40K stadium with average attendance less than half of that. Basketball is played in a circa 1950's era gym with an average attendance right at the 3K level. What SEC team wants to play them home & home??? A road trip to N.O. by an SEC team would be a losing proposition. They have absolutely nothing to offer the SEC.

Tulane would probably be the same as Vanderbilt, which isn’t up to the SEC’s standards in most sports either. I think Tulane (assuming they were still SEC) would get skullfricked most years with occasional bowl game every 3-4 seasons and a 9 win season once in a blue moon.

They still have more SEC championships than several current members. That said, they don't have the level of athlete or stadium to compete in the SEC and they are happy with that.

They were a very old member for a long time.
They also had a player drafted this year.
This popped up in the news!

If anything having murderers on our teams would actually help us. We would fit right in with Tennessee and Florida

Schools at the next tier, lower than Research 1, are going to face issues as well, and the further down you go with University Classifications, some of them are going to close shop, in my view.

I said schools lower than R1 are going to face financial issues, and the further down you go in terms of University Classification some of those smaller regional or private Liberal arts type Universities are going to close.
The University of Arizona, which is one of the major R1 Universities in this state is cutting salaries, and furloughing employees. That is Arizona

Here is an article by Market watch that analyzes trends. Higher education participation among domestic students has been trending down as Costs for many of the degree progams that Universities offer don't outweigh the benefits. To fill those voids, many Universities have used International Students, but some of those are from Countries that lets say are not or do not have the best interest of the USA (i.e. China). Regardless, as I said, many Universities even the top ones are going to face some financial stress, and the some of the Universities as you go down below the R1, then R2, levels, etc, are in fact going to be closed

Your GIF there does a good job of showing your ability to read what I wrote.
I could numerous other articles about Higher Ed from many other sources but these 2 are some of the easier to read.
