Did I really watch a ball barely go out at Vandy in left field tonight? Vandy left field 310ft and JC just flips bat at ball and it barely goes out. It was hit a mile high, but ball landed about 5ft on other side of wall.

Shortest HR of the SEC season.

Are you trying to distract us from that little league park your guys play in?

It went 349 feet...

Vols have hit two that were shorter in just the last few days

It would be poetic for Jac to follow up his 516' bomb (longest ever according to stat track, at any level), with the shortest HR ever.

However, this was not it lol.

I call bullshite! That ball barely went over. Everyone in the park thought it was just a pop out. The left fielder even was still going out looking up excepting it to drop.

Well you also insist Tennessee doesn't have the smallest outfield in the conference, despite it being easy to see that they do.

Maybe the problem is you.

That ball that was 109mph off the bat with a 20 degree angle would have went a lot further had it not hit the back wall of the bullpen. It prolly dented the wall! If that ball had a 30 degrees launch angle, it’s going over 400 ft with that speed off the bat.

Because it’s true.

Left field at Vandy- 310
Left field at UT- 320

320 > 310, in case you didn’t know.

Baum-Walker Stadium:
LF- 320- same
LC- 375
C- 400
RC- 365- same
RF- 320- same

Lindsey-Nelson:
LF- 320
LC- 365
C- 390
RC- 365
RF- 320

So Baum-Walker is similar to UT Dimension in 3 of the 5 areas. So UT would still be hitting same amount of HR’s rather they in LNS or BMW Stadium.

Vandy also has a 35 foot wall in left field while you have a 10 foot fence. That erases the 10 foot difference.

Centerfield at Vandy - 400
Centerfield at UT - 390

Right field at Vandy - 330
Right field at UT- 320

Your fence is only like 4 feet high in right field which makes your field play even shorter.

It really doesn’t make that big of a difference. Every home run we have hit this year cleared the wall. Only way it would matter, if the ball came off the bat at a 10 degree launch angle.

Oral Roberts' Matt Hogan inside-the-park home run against the Florida Gators at the College World Series was longer

Which makes it so strange that Lsu could only muster 2 HRs in3 games played in a little league stadium.
