When these threads pop up, it always reminds me of Lucy yanking the football away from Charlie Brown.

Can someone point me to a single article the guy has written??? Has his own publication the USATODAY run with the story? Why would he break it on FB instead of USATODAY?
Apparently no one listened to Finebaum yesterday that ask this question. The reason he came on PF was because Paul had called him and asked him if he had heard anything on the Cam investigation and Paul told him he thought it was over. Sheridan then told him the investigation was "not" over and had actually intensified. Paul then asked him if he would come on the show and tell what he said to Paul. They were both going to be at Media Days and that's where it would happen.
Now, my question is this. If Sheridan has a trusted source with information from the NCAA, would he call that source first before he released his information? The reason being, if he wants to keep that source and the trust they have, I think it would be imperative that he got the go ahead from his source, otherwise he doesn't get any more information leaked from the NCAA. In Sheridan's business that information is vital.
Also, could it be that the NCAA is giving said 3rd party the chance to come forward on their own, if they think they have the goods on them, to keep them from being caught in a cover up?
I really don't think Sheridan would have made the comments unless he was pretty sure of his source. He makes his living handicapping games and without connections he is out of business. He is not like some of these other bloggers that have no repercussions to their statements. He has a lot more to lose than gain.

But But But Ohio State's players signed autographs to get $200 tattoos.....up to like $3,000 worth.
If what OSU did is worthy of harsh penalties, than everything that was done here should give them much harsher penalties.
Does the NCAA take the total "value" of the case into account?

As of today after many months no actual proof or documents have been produced to validate the accusations. So I and others have chosen to take the stance of prove it.
Why does anybody think that the NCAA is going to come out and tell everyone what they've found before the investigation is over? It's possible that EVERY SINGLE ACCUSATION has been true. We won't know until they're done.

And, coincidentally enough, Bama builds statues of and museums to coaches who get them on probation.

And how much did your starting QB for the past few seasons make?

I don't think so. I think any finding by the NCAA will be BS to you and other AU fans.

You and other fan bases have chosen to give a final verdict based on your bias and information full of innuendo.
So you actually think that the rest of the college world is bias and wants you hammered. And for no reason..

Auburn = Casey Anthony in the college football world. Nothing save significant sanctions and/or the death penalty will quench our thirst for justice

It's funny that yall keep referring to Sheridan as a Bammer when he was one of the only people last year singing Auburns praises before the season even started and is the ONLY guy saying that AU would not surprise him to win the West and win 9 games.
But he is just a stupid Bammer.

The problem with this statement is that if they are hammered, then it was because the NCAA found proof. If they arent, then it very well could be because the NCAA couldnt get the right people to talk since they do NOT have subpoena power.
It's a lot like OJ. We all know he did it, Hell, I think someone said he admitted it to Oprah the other day. But even before he confessed, anyone that didnt believe he did it was an idiot.

If he's using inside sources to handicap, I think the State Gambling Commision may want to have a word with him.

Seriously? You think all the lying and cover ups may have something to do with the harshness of your penalty? Jesus, the NCAA allowed you to play 6 players, who broke major rules, in a big time bowl game.
You can NEVER bitch about the NCAA.

Or it could be the 3rd party is involved in a trial right now!

He can handicap on inside sources all he wants, he just cant broker bets with it.
Hell, you can handicap in a state that doesnt HAVE a State Gambling Commission.

There is no gambling commission in the state of Alabama

Gotta love what Gregg Doyel just tweeted about Sheridan: "If a friggin' oddsmaker has sources inside the NCAA leaking him info, that's a bigger story than Cam Newton."

Since USC is the poster child for many poster's arguments I will refer to Bush. There was plenty of stuff that came out about Reggie Bush most notably the money man himself before the NCAA finished. So try again Teague.
