Exactly. Tweet was not racist, but it wasn't smart given the area of the country Leech is coaching in. Honest mistake given that he's spent most of his life out west, and he apologized. Time for everyone to move on.

The imagery of a noose was undeniably used by terrorist organizations like the KKK to spread fear to groups of people they didn't like - mostly African Americans. It is still used by racists today.
The fact that people were hung in the West does not detract from this - especially since Mississippi is not anywhere near the west.
