SC's New Coach should have come to Columbia and not stayed in OK. He's just signed his own death warrant.

You can't win in the SEC like this.

JUCOs and transfers, it’s easier to turn a roster in 2020 than ever before.

Still a very tough road ahead...

Spurrier had that program running like a machine to the point they were giving top teams a run.

Its possible. But they botched it again.

When VANDY is 55 spots above you, you're F'ed. (No offense Vandy fans)

Might as well start saving buyout money AGAIN.

Lack of awareness by the AD is ridiculous. Part of the deal has to be that he is in place before the signing date. If not , hold off on firing until after the date

Not for nothing, but what did you expect him to do? He was hired 10 days ago and doesn't yet have his staff in place that I'm aware of. Given that you can't get recruits to visit currently, what would he have done differently in the last 10 days if he were in Columbia?

I don't believe he's highly likely to be a game changing coach for USC, but I don't understand holding this ESD recruiting class against him either. Maybe hold out until Feb NSD and Portal gains/losses before making that call at least.

Get your butt to Columbia and start burning up the phone of every high school coach in the state.

Look I get being loyal to your previous employer, but the key word their is PREVIOUS. You've got to worry about your own future because you are the CEO now. Act like it.

In a situation like this, for a team like SC, it isn't who you sign today, it's who you lose the potential to sign. How many kids in the Top 100, 200, 300 or 500 are getting locked up today that you instantly lose access to.

If he were operating as HC right now, at least he could have potentially stuck his finger in the dam to keep some of those folks from getting away.

USCe is going to have to accept that they will have to give him time to build a team that can be competitive.

I love how all the Bama fans are in here saying it's going to be OK. It is so easy for them to say when they can have the pick of the top 25 guys they want every year. So go choke on another #1 recruiting class ranking. I don't want to hear it. Walk 1 mile in our shoes for 1 season. Then come back and talk to us.

If this holds, it will be the worst SEC recruiting class for the past 18 years by 30+ spots. Think about that for a second. All the bad Arky and Vandy teams. All of those teams were 50 spots or more higher than SC is right now.

The fact is beamer has screwed up by not 1) Getting to his new job. 2) Getting a staff in place and 3) Doing his best to get the best players signed that he can.

Just another example of how incredible bad this hire is/was. The guy has no self awareness for what it's going to take to succeed. He's already at least 3rd dog to the trough in his own state, much less the region.

As I said before, I hope the school is already saving his buyout money. They are going to need it sooner rather than later.

Why call SC coaches now? Any Mid-Atlantic player with a pulse was long-gone to SC a month ago.

Beamer is probably working his own list of prospects that he has compiled over the last year or so.

SCar should have did what previously worked best for them and what's working best for UNC right now... hire a previously successful retread.

Personally I think they should've hired Mark Richt.

To get them to at least hold off signing today. To give them a shot down the road. You might still lose the guy later, but if they sign today they are gone for good.

SC's team next year is going to look like these guys.

I wouldn't say he is DOA, but it will be a 3+ year rebuild. May even take 5-6 years.

With the success of the rednecks in the upstate, our dumb@$$ fans won't wait that long. (Not you and the other SC posters on the rant. We good. I'm talking about our other Dumb@$$ fans. )
