From my brainz. And as you scour Google and message-boards trying to prove me wrong, because that is just how auNecks are, keep in mind that I have had several different monikers over time.

CtrlAltDel, Altie, CAD, Altimer, etc... So just keep that in mind before you come back with a "gotcha" and I have to slap you down.

I read it. I found it spiffy but with a hint of moral desuetude and occasional flashes of Kierkegaard resonance. It reminded me of a poem I once read by Shel Silverstein called "Hug O'War."

I don't claim BamaMag and they don't claim me. I do find it hilarious when someone I can't even remember, or care to remember, remembers me.

You must have been one of those auNeck lurkers on BamaMag who were always viewing the board, hundreds at all times of day and night, but never allowed to post.

That is sad.

What's sad is your level of obsession with Alabama and Auburn football.

This douche trolled Ohio State boards hard before the Sugar Bowl. Funny thing is that his pompous arse disappeared after the game.

8.) 1973. Love this one. 'Bama was undefeated at the end of the season and the UPI decided we were the best team in the country. It is a nice trophy too, kind of big. See, what many people don't understand is that at this time and during the preceding years, bowl games did not determine NC's, they weren't really important during this stage in the continuing evolvement of college football.

Wait, wait, how can that be, you may say. That is just the way it was. Bowl games were meant to be consolation prizes, not determinants of who was the NC. That was already decided after the regular season.

Once again it comes down to modern man attempting to place his mindset and values and ideas about how things should have been done to times past. Guess what? It doesn't work that way.

'Bama shared this one with Notre Dame, the team that beat them in a fantastic and 6 or 7 lead changing Sugar Bowl game. Don't believe Alabama won a NC this year? Come on down and take a look at the UPI trophy. That ain't no People's National Championship, folks. ('Bama 11-1)

The hypocrisy is astounding. You say bowl games didn't matter, you already had the trophy. Yet you use Bama playing in bowl games and others not to justify previous "titles". Gump logic 101

You want to claim 15. That's fine with me.

Yale claims 28 and Princeton claims 27. And even if they can't win a FBS going forward, it still may take you 100 yrs to catch them at your current rate.

No problem here.

I hope you liked it.
