Some are projecting him not going 1st round? He is a player that completely jumped off of the screen in his tenure at Auburn. I am glad to not have to face him again. It’s a complete travesty if he doesn’t go first round. Williams, Chase, and Smith are the best receivers in this draft.

Seth has an incredible catch radius. Could be elite as a RZ target in the league of all goes well. However, he has one elite skill and not much else.

Williams has a high ceiling. He wasn’t able to show his talent in Gus’s Offense.

Teams have gotten burned on speed guys only
He will have a role
Can take a top off a defense
Probably looking at 2nd round
Auburn offense didn’t exactly help him
Kind of like some of wr’s that came out of LSU under miles
Lost draft value but proved it in league

First round receivers have way more production than Seth. He’s really good but will be a 2nd round guy at best and probably 3rd.

The real WTF is why so many are putting Schwartz in the top list of receivers. He’s fast but never really showed the ability to run routes that get separation or consistently make high level catches.

You’re thinking of Schwartz. Williams is a much more complete WR, still would be shocked if he went in the first.

I can't think of the last Auburn receiver that was 1st round worthy. Barners help me out, who was the last WR you guys had drafted in the 1st round?

I don't know anyone, even the biggest AU homers who would have ever touted Seth as a first round talent. He isn't the best route runner, he has adequate speed but nothing that turns any heads. He can Co up and get jump balls and plays pretty physical. He also showed flashes of immaturity getting into heated arguments with No Nix and coaches on the sidelines multiple times. He also gave zero effort once things started to not go his way.

Anyone thinking he was a first round talent is lying to themselves.

Considering AU has been a run first Offense for the last 30 years, AU hasn’t produced many NFL type WRs. Under Gus, they had some NFL talent, but were never really developed. Before Julio Jones, Alabama didn’t produce many NFL WRs over the same period.

He also has a attitude issue that showed up for his entire time at Auburn. He never really got through that..

So Auburn has never had a WR drafted in the 1st round?

I think he came out in the wrong year. This WR class is incredibly deep and his production wasn't good enough for him to stake a claim to a spot over Chase, Waddle, or Smith in the 1st round.

Of course, I think his production problem was mostly due to a stark sophomore slump from Bo Nix. Still, I think it was a bad idea for him to leave when he did...
