They probably could have brought in Nate Oats a long time ago... It's almost as if the REC was waiting on some signal to unleash this mass murderer... What he's doing to you all is a thing of beauty.. The Pear, Calipari, Bruce Pearl, are all trying to figure out ways to GTFO of the conference.

Hard to build new arenas in a year most programs probably lost 50-75% of their revenue.

Well this is a new tack. I was wondering when most of the Alabama fans would get past "the waiting for the bottom to drop out" crap I've been reading, but this complete 180 might be a bit presumptuous.

No kidding. The Coleman renovation was planned to start in the next few years as part of an initiative in the athletic department, but between ridiculous construction costs, a presumed decline in revenue this year and COVID, I'm seriously doubting that timeline now. If Oats were to leave because the facilities weren't upgraded quickly enough, it would be super depressing.

Yeah, they've gone from worrying we're going to collapse, to now putting all their energy into worrying Oats will be stolen away.

I seriously doubt that Oats will leave at this time(next 2-3 years)... He's not a dummy and Bama finally has a chance to be nationally relevant in basketball.
Also, Greg Byrne isn't an idiot and the ROI for keeping Nate Oats long-term would be HUGE and to keep him Bama WILL HAVE to invest in a new or, AT LEAST, Major and I mean MAJOR upgrades to Coleman.. That said, in this uncertain environment, timing is everything...
BTW, the Bama fans that downvoted this thread, you're dumber than a box of rocks if you believe I was serious about any of that BS... SMH... I expected and even hoped for that reaction from other fans who realize this is a troll thread..
