Do you really have to think about this??
I'll give you a hint, it has to do with the team you lost to...
ETA: I wouldn't really be pissed though if it was listed in the "official" list. Those were just what I would award. The other 4 shouldn't even be considered for a second.

All 7 I listed above, plus '78. As I said...I wouldn't really give two shits if ya'll claimed 8.

I figured it might be that reason. Yet you list 1973 though. Let me give you a hint about something: Bama lost to USC early in the season. USC later lost to a team later in the season. Bama played #1 and undefeated Penn State. I don't care which way you try to spin that, it is a legit Title

I mean before the AP was in existance. You said those can be claimed, that were awarded the year they were played, before the AP.. so which organizations awarded NC's each year before the AP and wasn't retro?

People need to stop worrying about Alabama's National Championships. They think about them more than we do.

Not one of Bama's Championships before 1934 were awarded in the year they were competing.

1934 was awarded by Dunkel, Williamson, and Football Thesarus according to my records. From what I can gather Dunkel and Williamson awarded those in 1934.
