After this 6 year historic run at your school( and with everything that has happened these last couple of weeks) do you regret that your school hired Lane Kiffin? If you could go back and change that decision, would you? Only honest answers please! :)

They said Freeze was worth it. He had less success and they were left with Matt Luke. I think that should answer any question regarding regrets about hiring Kiffin 6 years ago.

Yeah, Penn State was also the talk of the town when Sandusky was fired. Contrary to your cope, not all publicity is good and Kiffin/LSU is the laughing stock of the country right now.

Literally everyone outside of Baton Rouge thinks he’s a shite bag and the hire a monumental disaster for your image. One of the major political parties in the United States even posted a video on social media calling him a rat and a traitor. This isn't the win you think it is, and your home run hire has backfired, leaving you to be the butt end of every joke.

I think it was a good hire at the time but it was time for both parties to part ways.

Let’s say it’s a marriage. You have 6 kids with someone but they get cancer and leave you to go bang every walking stiff available. She amasses a 200 body count and starts a podcast “Dying for Sex” where she details everything publicly.

Do you regret having those 6 kids?

You mean aside from the 6 SEC and 3 National championships?

Dude, all PR is good PR. I promise you players and coaches are going to be flocking here. The media won’t quit talking about how much money we’re spending on coaches and now NIL. Whether they think it’s right or not…all that matters. I could give two shits what a major party thinks or anyone else thinks about our program.

Shut the frick up. Both parties didn't part ways. He left OM for a better job. You can rationalize it like "it was best for both of us" but that aint the truth. Nobody in Oxford wanted him to leave. Now he's gone and you act like you wanted it that way.

Ya'll are a bunch of liars.

By the way, you're welcome for the use of our OC.

The hypocrisy from the Ole Miss side knows no bounds. My brother and sister went to Ole Miss and at Thanksgiving last week they thought for sure he was staying and they were hoping like hell he was going to stay. It was crazy. I made sure I left before the news broke.

Sure, we were able to build an organization around his persona, if in 3 years we’re still putting together good rosters and Kiffin flounders, then no regrets at all, if the whole thing falls apart…so yeah, I know that’s next level thinking for the Harvard on the Bayou, but that’s where I sit on it.

No regrets. Our program desperately needed him and he did exactly what everyone hoped he would do. I do regret buying into the "changed man" stuff. After the flirtation with Auburn, ole Miss fans were glad he stayed but didn't trust him. Past 12-18 months he had done a really good job talking it up about how much Oxford has meant to him and how appreciative he was that he decided to stay. Again, our fault for believing it, but that just made the whole thing worse. I'm sure in time more fans will get over the anger and appreciate what he did, but still feel nasty about ever trusting him or liking him.

I have an Ole Miss friend, and he went “I’d do it all again.”

No.... but taking a HC from a school that's on a historic run while they walk into the CFP is a nice knockout shot.

What’s crazy is in my mind I have been thinking we only have him for about 5 to 6 years and he’ll probably go off to greener pastures, probably NFL. But now, with this whole shite storm from everyone in the media and Ole Miss, he might be parking at LSU for quite some time. We might be thanking you guys in the long run for all of this character bashing for Lane.

No, I don't regret that we hired Kiffin at all. Kiffin helped bring our program into the NIL era and won a ton of games in the process. I've never seen us win at the sustained level that we have over the past 5 seasons, and now we have a playoff berth to show for it.

Coaches come and go. It's not very often anymore that you see a coach stay at one school for long stretches of time. Kiffin had the longest tenure here of any head coach since David Cutcliffe and I'm thankful that we kept him as long as we did.

I hate seeing Kiffin go to LSU. I was personally okay with all of the wandering eye stuff with Kiffin, anyone who has kept up with his career knows that he has always had and always will have an eye for his next career move. Best of luck to y'all and I look forward to our game next season.
