I also don't think he is a natural representative of Alabama's political winds and is largely Israel-focused, which we don't really need more of regardless of where you fall on it.
Alabama is likely an easy R hold, so it's not like you need a celebrity to win that seat.

Can you imagine all of those old-time Alabama Klansmen if the state elected Pearl to the Senate? He is Jewish.
