arse whooping like that? We watched two different games. The score was misleading. Blocked punt for a td basically, giving UGA the ball on the 12 yard line, and a dropped TD pass…yeah UGA benefitted on some key moments but I just laid out 21 points for you that came off a lot less than an arse whoopin.

Why are you worried about LSU and Georgia fans while Bama is playing a playoff game?

That's what's so great. All of that is over. And it's not coming back. That's why it's so damn satisfying. There's gonna be a lot more of back to reality for all of you bammers. Year after year. LSU, Georgia, Texas. Hell even Tennessee,.. will all be stronger teams consistently.
And apparently Oklahoma too..

TBF it's not like Bama is bad. They're going to have a top 10 team more often than not & certainly a top 10 financial commitment. They are the definition of football excellence with or without Saban and will earn plenty of respect moving forward.
But when you're on Mt. Olympus everywhere else is down

Why would anyone be embarrassed. They don’t have shoulder pads, helmet, or clipboard.

What was your point in saying UGA was irrelevant for 40 years??
It fit the discussion. UGA is new to the Alabama world. They started to catch on when AL schooled them a few times.

Alabama fans are so soft.

Do you think a team having 200% of rest and prep time impacts the results of a game? OU has had that the last 2 games (and ironically will have close to 160% on this playoff game, but we’ve had 12 days so it shouldn’t be as much of a factor other than injury health…they’ve had time to get more guys fully healthy). If you don’t, then you’re probably an LSU or OU fan and you probably are named SideWalk and thought Kelly was a better coach than DeBoer, Kiffin, etc. and religiously defended him with winning %s
Poor SideWalk, he just doesn’t understand football, or life, or really anything at all. Who knew that having significant rest/prep advantage over another team impacted the game? Well, other than all the people who understand football.

No it really wasn't. Everybody is new to the Bama world, LSU included.

I won’t be clowning on Bama. They are the most dangerous team in the playoffs for Georgia imo.

It was an arse whipping, which is exactly what the score indicates.
Not misleading at all.

Other than playing them every year for for the last 60 and 35 other times before that.

Bite me!
How many times have we re-hashed this stuff, for YEARS now been hearing about how Alabama is on the decline, it's over, donezo, finito...and guess what, Bama always is either still right in the mix or lurking close by.
I know there is a HUGE hive mentality in this thread because I dropped some truths and those smart a bit. You talk about how it's satisfying as well to see how "the fall" has been happening.
Problem is we've been hearing about this fall for a long time. I have already pointed out that Alabama at some point in each season from 2008-2022 Was at #1, of course they didn't win Natties every year but they were up to #1 in the polls each year at some point. That's not a "t-decline". I have a tough time seeing how "satisfied" you can be watching a non-demise demise of a team. Even since 2022, Alabama was on the doorstep of cashing in again. Now Alabama is in the final 8...sorry, I am struggling to see this collapse you are fantasizing over...

Sure and LSU is mostly irrelevant, getting their arse kicked far more often than not.

For me, Bama is only really meaningful when we play them. And the reality is we rarely do that.
The only reason Bama fans seem to have some animosity toward UGA is that some people view UGA as having passed Bama in the current SEC heirarchy. But there's no real history between the two teams.
We've had 8 regular season matchups in the last 25 years (5-3, in favor of Bama).
8 in the 25 years before that. (also 5-3 in favor of Bama).
It's just not a rivalry. We don't play often enough and we tend to both dislike many of the same opponents.
UGA just happened to be the team that moved up to challenge Bama as they were at the top with Saban as their coach. Bama fans don't like that a team is challenging them or may have passed them, but I think if they are honest with themselves they'll realize their feelings are more similar to what they felt with Florida when Spurrier was there then an actual hated rival.
For me a big game against Bama is important... butt no more important than a big game against Ohio State or LSU (when they're good).
It's just a big game.
If UGA makes it to the final this year and plays Bama, I'll want UGA to win. But not any more than if it were Oregon or Indiana we're playing.
