Seeing a bunch of spring football threads. Are you happy with your team so far?

Are you happy with the QB situation?
Do you have serious issues or concerns at any of the skill positions?
Is the Oline lineup looking to move around a bunch this summer?
Are you looking for contributors anywhere from the portal?
How was the front seven looking?
Are you happy with the DB depth?
Are you changing the scheme much?
Any impact injuries?
Any new coaches you are concerned about?
Overall are you happy with the state of the team at the end of spring?

Bama hasn't had their spring game yet but after watching UGA’s game, I hope 87 for them kills it at WR.

This is what an unbiased, neutral source had to say about Texas football

Some of us are still in baseball season.

Texas is a middle of the pack SEC team at best

Carson Beck appears to be our clear QB#1, great stat line in the first half he played but beyond the stat line, he just looked good, comfortable, in command, and he throws ropes.
Due to injuries, we only had two scholarship running backs able to participate, so not much to report there.
Offensive scheme, can't comment on, it was 70% passes and we know damn well we aren't going to see Bobo/UGA be 70% pass.
One "breakout" guy is Mekhi Mews, a scout team walkon wide receiver only 5-8 and 170, balled out on kick returns and at receiver, great hands and lots of wiggle. Think Isaiah McKenzie.

Vols are set at QB with Milton in his 3rd year in the system and Nico as the heir apparent.
Vols are likely looking for a 2 and done to add depth to the WR room. Huepel usually doesn’t rotate much outside a top 5 but they will likely look to add depth
No real Oline concerns this year it seems. LT was the only concern going in.
The Vols will likely look for some front 7 help but can be very picky.
I’m not sold on the LB corp yet. They replace a bunch and struggled last year without Banks.
I’m never happy with DB depth. Too many unknowns in a spot you need 7 guys you trust.
It’s still Huepels baby. The plays on O will be a little different as Milton isn’t the runner Hooker was and the TEs look more capable overall.
A ton of guys missed the spring in part or whole but No season Enders so far.
No new staff issues.
This will be a mild rebuilding year and I expect a slight drop off. 9-10 wins is the expectation right now subject the summer. The TAMU game is likely the tale of the year. It’s at home and winnable on paper. UofSC looks improved, Bama and UGA are 50/50 games today.

Overall very happy with the direction LSU is headed. Obviously very pleased with the QB situation, we have a very good #1 and a #2 that has legit potential to be better.
I'd like to see a RB emerge, we were missing that last year.

That's a spring outlook for the fall season. What about your spring game, which is the topic you created?
Also-
Ok. You are predicting a 9 wins season but also that Bama and UGA are 50/50 games. It doesn't make sense.

Seems like half our defense is getting worked on, too, with planned surgeries or addressing issues that could hurt later if left to linger.
ILB Smael Mondon, DE Mykel Williams, OLB Marvin Jones Jr, S Dan Jackson, and LB Jalon Walker all sat out with various recoveries and all started or played meaningful minutes last year.
Meant we saw a lot out of a stellar group of EEs including Raylen Wilson, Damon Wilson, AJ Harris, Jordan Hall, and Jan Jarrett

Apparently Kentucky isn’t having a spring game this year?

Yes! Arkansas backup QBs are good! Won’t be much of a drop off if KJ goes down this year like he did last year. Hornsby couldn’t pass. Criswell looks good and Fortin and singleton are serviceable. Our Dline looks like they’ll have some ends that are going to give opposing QBs problems. Think they looked better after this spring than they did in past. Still curious about our secondary…

Georgia is going to quite possibly be better than last year. QB is a concern, but BVG and Beck are both superior physical talents to Stetson. Only the intangibles are in question. The secondary might be superior to 21 and 22. Only bad luck could keep the Dogs from a 3-peat in college football for the first time in about 85 years.

Beck and our TE's and WR's are gonna light it up. Defense will be the same as always...
More than happy, ecstatic is more like it.
You asked...
3peat on the way
