I'm not even sure what we're talking about with biscuits and gravy.

Is it milk gravy? Gravy gravy?

Maybe this will help.

You don't know what biscuits and gravy are, but you decided to make your own thread about southern cooking?

You fricking suck.

Quick, can you name a Biscuits and Gravy restaurant?

Decades ago I spent a month in jail.

In that time, they served biscuits and gravy every sunday(also the best meal of the week) but never once served fried chicken.

I should have fricked up in Mayberry.

I loved me some Skeeters! The Asher Special was my go to.

Look at that, $3.89 for an asher special. Wow!

Chocolate gravy was it's own entry, so it already lost. You're safe.

I recommend Babe’s Chicken Dinner House if you are ever in the Dallas Ft Worth area.

Best restaurant fried chicken I have ever had was in Vicksburg, MS at a place called Walnut Hills

We went as a large group, and everything was family style. Incredible southern menu. Everything made from scratch and neat little restaurant in an old Antebellum looking house.

Highly recommend. From starters, to main courses, to desserts the menu almost covers the original field of 64, and it is as close to homemade as I've ever found.

I mean, you can fall asleep drunk and burn the hell out of a roast accidentally, and that's some of the best damn burnt shite you ever tasted

fricking burnt to hell potatoes and carrots to boot - they're just caramelized, delicious

ETA: just make sure you started with a good marbling so the juice spreads out and keeps it right
