The reality is, I don't think the NCAA really wants to know. Their hand was forced by this guy shopping the story all over. If they are smart, they will be good with a 1 game Gurley suspension and be done with it. No need to open up Pandora's box. Current sentiment is against the NCAA right now as it stands. Unfortunately, in the case of Winston, he has created such negative publicity, they feel the need to look into it.

If I were a FSU fan, I would be utterly embarrassed and ashamed that my university would sink so low. UGA and Richt get criticized for their stringent discipline policies, but I would much rather be in that situation, than what is currently going on in Tallahassee.

You don't need a lawyer for an NCAA investigation unless you're a coach or player. The rest of us don't have to talk to them - they can't even subpoena us. A waste of $$ and resources when you can ignore the NCAA etc.

Good point Prof. That's what makes this case so interesting. For the first time, these dealers have to deal with the consequences. More than likely, all parties will try to bury this as quickly as possible, but the threat to dealers is now out there that there are possible repurcussions. Hopefully, this will serve to curb street agents and memorabilia dealers on college campuses.

It's a fascinating case to be sure.

Pretty high-priced attorney to retain if you don't think you're in any trouble.

If these guys paid Gurley for his autograph, it sounds like they would be in trouble in the State of Georgia. That may be why they retained attorneys. It would also mean Gurley broke NCAA rules......which is the thing that UGA people, in this thread, are obviously trying to avoid.

That's what we've been saying.

I don't understand where y'all are getting this part. It's pretty obvious that he broke the rules. We just want him to be reinstated, provided that they aren't able to prove it.

Good lord, how many times does this have to be covered. One of my previous posts:

In summation, for those dim-witted that insist on interjecting inane comments, TODD GURLEY IS COMPLICIT IN THIS. I, NOR ANYONE THAT I HAVE SEEN, HAS EXPRESSED HIS INNOCENCE. PLEASE STOP WITH THIS DRIVEL. THERE IS NO DEFLECTION.

I think one of the issues we are seeing in this thread is that 'fans' from certain other teams are so used to denying wrongdoing of their own ball clubs that they assume that we are implying the same thing. Even though no one on this board has any real control over the actions of the people they are defending. There are several psychological issues I see in these matters. Illusion of control is a top candidate....

Based on this information, 2+2=4. Considering this case breakdown, I would say this would be more for criminal defense. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.

yes based upon your information that is severely lacking information, but please continue to

Wow, the lack of reading comprehension continues to amaze me. Notice the phrase AREAS OF SPECIALTY. Also, did you just totally glaze over the case breakdown on the superlawyers website that list criminal defense 50%, personal injury-personal at 30%, and personal injury-product at 20%. It's like some of you Auburn fans have become so deluded that you simply can't see facts that are staring you straight in the face. You are talking about leaving off facts, but you totally ignored concrete stats posted about case statistics. Please learn to read.

I really don't understand what is wrong with some of you Auburn posters. It's basic. I'm really not sure what world you are living in.

Oh, they want to know. They need something easy to get their legs back under them. Evidently TG admitted to something, or they have some type of evidence. Otherwise, they wouldn't have suspended him to begin with. (Richt has even said as much.) Plus, with Gurley providing the "road map", they have something to go on in regards to other players who may/may not be guilty of same.

I think you get him back after 4 games, unless there is more uncovered.
