Every time we have these threads we have to remind y'all value is relative. $1 million in poor South Carolina doesn't buy the same lifestyle $1 million buys in Texas.
There's no income tax in Texas, correct? Or am I wrong?

In any event, a lot more millionaires in Texas than South Carolina, so you can choose between either hobnobbing with your "equals" or being the belle of the ball.
Exactly. Wealth is relative.

I didn't realize USC was on the coast.

I'd probably pick Fripp/Edisto/Kiawah/Folly/Sullivans over any other options in America to be honest
My favorite place on earth. Just something about it.

5 mil is not a lot of money. Idk why so many people freak out about a marginal amount so much

Correct.

South Carolina has a ridiculous amount of great places to live. Its like Florida... but with a nicer climate, fewer giant armor plated flying cockroaches, and a lot fewer tourists.
Though, in the interest of being fair, Texas is not as bad as... Massachusetts. Or California.

It really is the GOAT.
SC is a great place to live, just hope too many people don't begin to realize that.

CFB coaches should be sending Coach Saban, Jimmy Sexton, (before he passed) Mal Moore, and the Alabama AD and BOT a Christmas card every year.
My fault. You were referring to Mal Moore and I misplaced your comma.

Botch-overpaid, especially considering their athletic department has the same amount of money as any of the dumbass Trump voters.

In the real world, they are all grossly overpaid.

From someone who has only lived in Texas a few years and have always paid state taxes, it is fantastic.

McElwain is a little underpaid.
McElwain will likely be solid but he rode a Muschamp defense through a shitastic SEC East
While Malzahn may be overpaid on future prospects he isn't on production, he has a SEC CG victory under his belt. Only 2 other coaches in the SEC can say that.

No state tax is a plus, however living in the woodlands, tx and paying a large sum of money in property tax is another. My dad lives in Myrtle Beach, SC on a golf course and pays 5% of the amount of property tax as what I pay yearly. However, almost every home in Myrtle Beach is on a golf course lol
