For a group that doesn't care what others think, the Auburn fans jumped into this thread pretty heavily.
I did not watch the SECCG either, and I'm not planning to watch the BCSCG either. It's not that I'm boycotting, but rather that I think it's meaningless. I'm confident anything Auburn wins will be vacated. So it's got all the appeal of watching a video game.

Why is this shocking, no one cared, Les Miles would have gotten a better rating if he appeared on an episode of yard crashers...

It went from big name schools, #1 vs #2 + Tebow's pledge of trying to get UF undefeated for the 1st time in school history vs a 9-3 SC team vs a cheater.

many SEC fans like me refused to watch a single play of this game when the result will most likely be vacated in the near future. All of these folks watched last year's game (and all other SECCG's) but refused to watch a cheating team prosper.
Count me in on this group...

What would you expect. 1 vs 2, one of the greatest players ever playing his last game, a rematch of the title game from the previous year, almost certain Heisman winner on one team and certain finalist and previous winner/3rd place finisher. Best SEC program of last 20 years vs Best SEC program all time. Defending champ vs soon to be champ. Game which most considered to be the title game. Then you have Auburn vs a team who only made it because the division was the worst it had ever been. Big surprise there was a large difference in ratings. Everyone was watching last year.

Good god get over it. It's a damn message board with jokes.
Way to be a white knight though.

35 days of talking this shite. Get ready for a lot of posters to be posting in otherwise stupid threads. It's like a teaser for the off season.

There you go what, rb? My perception is the NCAA has, so far, applied it's "rules" inequitably.

In fairness over the past 3 weeks about 2 of every 3 threads is about auburn. So if we don't jump in these then we wouldn't have much of a place to post. And then what would i have to distract me from work?

I'm just surprised it is 49%. That is a shite ton. CBS had regular season games @ the beginning of the season that had higher ratings.
You make a great point. The 2010 Iron Bowl was one of the highest rated national telecasts in the last 10 years.
And then, a week later, the same team vs. a low-rated USCjr gets much, much lower ratings? There's a reason for that.
Seems like all these idiots who were saying they didn't want to watch "Scam" sure watched "Scam" the week before. What they meant to say was that they didn't want to watch Scam make USCjr his bitches, so they turned off their TV's before they had to use their heavy duty feminine pads.

As good as Texas was last year, Fla-Bama was the defacto National Title Tilt..thus the allure.
