Sounds like sour grapes to me. We shall see. Your team is the best comparison. IN 10 years you have finished virtually in the SAME position on average as you did in the Big 12, same with TAMU.

Sour grapes?! No sour grapes at all. I am happy you guys are joining the conference and I am excited to have some additional competition at the T3-T2 levels of our tiered system.

We're not talking about Mizzou. They have been appropriately placed in T3 where they currently belong. Can they break out of 3rd tier and move to T2? I would like to think so, going to be a fun season for our boys in black & gold.

So you have aTm who LSU and Auburn have pretty much owned since coming to the SEC, and UGA who has less NCs than Auburn and LSU in tier 1?

Correct. Our committee believes that LSU and Auburn are on the decline. That being said? I am hoping the adjustments both schools are making will prove me wrong. I am pulling for you.

Really think highly of your program, huh? Sorry, the committee has decided that you have no place in the same tier as UGA at current. Though, maybe you can work your way up the rankings when you actually play in a real football conference. No more cupcakes 4 you.

2019 LSU wins conference and natty ; " flash in the pan, they are tier 2", 2020 A&M has better conference record than LSU for the first time and wins nothing, "Bama needs to look over their shoulder these guys are coming!". Holy geez. You are the economist that every third world country needs.

I wasn't sure if we're ranking teams as they stand today or taking into account the last 20 years or so of results.

Today for sure Alabama stands alone, but an aggregate of 10-20 seasons, LSU merits first tier, and certainly Auburn with a title and BCS bowls should be in the top 8, imo.

Tebow-era Florida and Manziel era ATM are also why I got them in the top 2 tiers.

Sorry, that should have been clarified in the original post. The committee formed this tiered system looking at last seasons results and taking into account moves made during the off-season. This is a very fluid system and schools can most certainly move up and down, depending on their performance.

Tier 1: has your team won a National Championship since SEC expansion

Tier 2: has your team won an SEC Championship since SEC expansion, but not a NC

Tier 3: has your team never won, but played for an SEC Championship since SEC expansion

Tier 4: other

Tier 5: Arkansas

I think 2019 was a flash in the pan. You lost to a 5-5 Missouri last year.
I mean prior to covid year, LSU hadn't won less than 8 games a season in 20 years. Were 2003, 2007, and 2011 also flashes in the pan? Ask Drew Lock if LSU sucked when he played them....

This reads like you think that LSU had been better than Alabama the past decade. Just to clarify, is this what you are saying?

Hey dude, I am not here to talk smack. That being said? How about achieving a winning record against Mizzou before you start talking about our players.

Hey. Hey. Don't get mad at me for your performance on the field. You want to climb into a tier 1 position? You better motivate your boys. The defending national champions should never and I mean NEVER go 5-5. We expect more. BE BETTER.

If they played their non Covid schedule, then they're likely 8-4.

That's pretty damn good considering they lost 18/22 starters from the 2019 team, had no offseason to break in the new starters and coaches, and lost their starting quarterback thus leading to true freshmen starting.

I believe it. I am in. I am looking forward to seeing what LSU can achieve this year. I think you have the potential to move back to tier 1. Geaux Tigers!

Why would you think that a lone win over a top tier program such as Georgia elevates Texas to a higher tier? Especially in light of your abysmal showing the last two decades?
