Georgia and Auburn first met in 1892
Alabama and Tennessee first met in 1901
Georgia and Auburn have met 123 times
Alabama and Tennessee have met 101 times
Georgia and Auburn have met 21 times when both were ranked
Alabama and Tennessee have met 21 times when both were ranked
**There is a good chance that both Georgia and Auburn will both be ranked in mid-November, meaning the DSOR will have actually produced more meetings between ranked teams than the TSIO.
Of course Bama/Vol fans will point to Alabama and Tennessee combining for more SEC Championships, but in modern times Tennessee has not been as relevant. Since 1970, Georgia and Auburn each have 7 SEC Titles compared to Tennessee having just 5.
If there is one current cross-divisional rivalry worth savings for the long-haul, its Georgia vs. Auburn

& Miss., MSU, & Ark. are national champs?
Nope, but all of those teams have been ranked in the top 5 at some point in the last decade.

I don't get why a UGA fan should complain, they are ruling shite in the East as it stands.
This talk from a UGA fan about moving Auburn to the East wouldn't matter, because UGA beats them the majority of the time now. UGA has a 10-3 record over Auburn in the last dozen yrs.

Let's stop pretending the '90s was normal. It wasn't.
So what exactly was "normal" for LSU in the 60's,70's,80's and 90's?

it is easier to just leave things as they are.
there ain't gonna be any changes unless there is a huge push for it by most of the teams.

Pretty much everything but the 1990s. Based upon # of weeks ranked in the AP poll were decade:
1960s: 11th nationally
1970s: 13th nationally
1980s: 17th nationally
1990s: 34th nationally
2000s: 8th nationally
2010s: 3rd nationally
The current decade might be a bit better than what's normal for them, but the biggest anomaly of the group is the 1990s.
My point is its highly unlikely in this environment that LSU falls out of the Top 30 programs nationally for a prolonged period of time like a decade.... the chances of Tennessee also getting back to being a Top 5 program nationally at the same time as LSU being so down is nearly zero.

They only won 2 SEC championships outright in 40 years.

LSU won the SEC title in 1970, 1986, and 1988.

Well overdue to move Auburn to the East.
Nope east was stronger just last year and the west is stronger this year. Seems pretty fair to me. Not broken so don't fix it.

Move AU to the East and Mizzou to West. It would straighten things out.
