GTFO. It also helps with your seeding in the dance and helps with momentum.
Now, you could argue the tourney should end on Saturday instead of late Sunday afternoon.

meh,it wouldn't do much for our seeding and our guys need the rest.
I remember Richardson not liking the tourney due to it wearing the players down.
It helped us one year we won it because that's the only way we made the dance.
I don't put much stock in it,but it's cool if others do.

Doesn’t affect seeding that much anymore. They stopped caring about results from last ten games and put more emphasis on the earlier body of work.
Teams needing the auto bid to get in, is really all the conference tournaments are good for anymore.
