Nope, that's a cross division auto-win just like Bama/UT. Does not count in the prestige category.

I have respect for Auburn. They have a solid program and a very good team this year. They tend to come up and win big every few years, and they are due. They have a lot of talent.

Dude....He didn't say LSU averaged 8 wins. They've averaged 10. Also have 2 NCs and 3 conference titles during that span.

How about UGA?

ETA: I knew he was a LSU fan. Apparently no one else did.

He's a LSU fan? Who said LSU was not relevant?

If you and your SJWs were in the West, you wouldn't even sniff 7-5...just less meth.

That's when he was a Mississippi State fan!

I grew up a LSU fan. I know the history. I wouldn't say LSU was irrelevant.

Nobody HAS to. just don't be offended if we mistake you for a fan of another school.

Are you scared to reverse the teams in those questions?

So beating Auburn is UGA's claim to fame? kind of ruins the OP doesnt it?

Congrats on the Superbowl victories...

No, it's just ironic that an Auburn fan decided to pose those specific questions considering what happens when switch out the teams. It seems your fan set the bar at beating Auburn. I'm just point out the fallacy of the argument he thought he was making since we've rung that bell quite a bit.

Not really ironic. UF has a titles(SEC and National) recently, hence why he didnt ask that question of them and its kind of funny the OP attached UGA to UF considering UGA doesnt really have anything to show.

The op did the same thing with UGA that he is chastising the SECw minus UA for.

Excuse me while I laugh at your trash talk. It took 3 years in the SEC for Missouri to double up the state of Mississippi's two schools combined 40SEC seasons since '92

Yet State would have been favored over and mopped the floor with Missou in any of those 3 seasons. Remember 2015? 31-13.

To answer the original post, I feel confident that at least 3 West teams would win the east this year. And you could make a strong argument for 4.

I don't know why this has eluded me thus far...but this definitely clears up why UGA never shuts up about their AU streak. It's literally all they've got. I guess I don't blame them. Every fan of every team talks a lot about their best accomplishments...just not to the level UGA does. I mean, USCe has a few SEC East titles under their belt in the last few years but I can't remember any of them beating their chests about that. In fact, Bama, being by far the most accomplished team in the SEC, talks less about their national championships than UGA talks about beating Auburn. It's just weird and kind of sad. Nevertheless, I'm tired of hearing about it and hope that shite comes to an end this season.

It is when you ask either of the two teams when was the last time they beat Auburn, considering one of those has a LOT to show for it. Again, I didn't set that bar. He did. I don't think beating Auburn is any real accomplishment any more than you think beating UGA is. Doesn't mean we don't want to do it every time, though.

As for the OP's argument.....that's his own. The west is strong without Bama, but Bama certainly elevates the level of respect the division gets. The east has been trash for a while, but these things ebb and flow. In recent years, though, I'd have taken our chances against anyone in the west, some years even Bama.

Not at all. An Auburn fan asked, "What has Georgia won lately?" I, and others answered, we beat Auburn. That is not the sum total of what Georgia has done, but lets not pretend that Georgia is a bottom dweller.

Superbowl? hardly. Auburn is down on the list of rivals in the Georgia realm. That is not a slam against Auburn. Just a fact. most Georgia fans would rank Florida and Georgia tech higher as teams we would want to beat.

They do? Well, do tell....

I believe we had our last east title more recently than did they. But no one is "beating their chest" about it.

Uh, no.

And again, no UGA fan set the bar at beating Auburn. That was YOUR guy.

Which is one reason UI don't like the OP as stated. I think a more interesting question, is why the entire SEC is not as good. We are all, more or less, hitching our wagons to Alabama's success. At one time, I didn't feel that way, as Auburn, LSU and Florida had all won National titles in a fairly recent time frame. However, the past several years has changed my thinking, and it has become more of an Alabama and the rest type of conference.
(I will give a tip of the hat t Auburn for their year in 2013, but as we travel forward, that is getting smaller in the rearview mirror) This year, we do have Auburn and LSU looking as if they can revive a lot of strength in the West. But, the OP is mainly saying the West, as a group is not much better than the East once you get past Alabama. And that is correct. (This year might prove differently, but that is still yet to be seen)
