Congrats State fans! We haven't been beaten like that in quite a while and it doesn't matter if it's in the SEC tourney, reg season, or in another country, we shouldn't be beaten like that. Disappointing to lose when the national seed is on the line but we still have some changes going forward and I hope we don't quit.

No one has touched Arky's pitching staff in a good while. LSU has been knocking the cover off of the ball. Will be interesting to see which trend holds up tomorrow. With Nola on the mound, Poche better bring his filthy stuff.

That's bullshite, man. I'm going to be a true fan and be really pissed about this even though I know very little about how selection works and which teams are more deserving than Arkansas.

Day 3 of the tourney.
Last night I added my expert opinion on national seeds, hosts, tourney locks, etc. it's in the Op.
I think Ole miss needs to win today for any shot at national seed. Feel the same way about Vandy. LSU having a great tourney could spell bad news for another league team we figured would host. I don't think our league gets 5 host teams. I think we get 4 and LSU continuing to win would spell bad news for a team we figured would host.

I think its possible (like 3% maybe so not probable) if lsu goes 4-0 they'll be a national seed.

rpi somewhere around 10-12 (pure guess)
The tricky part is lsu's rpi against top 25. right now its at 5-8. not good. one more win state might move in the top 25 rpi and bama may fall out. overnight it could go from 5-8 to 7-7. And if lsu beats Vandy and State to win the tournament now its 9-7. What was once the biggest hole in LSU's resume all of sudden is a strength. Plus you would figure at least two SEC teams get National Seeds. LSU would have the 2nd best resume at that point in the conference.
It's a complete longshot but they got a chip and a chair so to speak.

Not sure if true, but I read somewhere (Internet, so it must be true) that the selection of the National seeds would be made before the conclusion of the SEC tourney.

No that's not correct. Regional hosts are announced at 8pm. So unless the championship games goes 5 hours the tournament will be over.
