We had pitching left and they didn't. They mercy ruled us. I hate us sometimes. I have a lot of respect for LSU baseball but hate to lose to them. Damn!

Congrats LSU, I hate it but it is what it is. You took advantage of every opportunity early and got a huge lead. Wish I could say I enjoyed it but obviously I didn’t. Good luck rest of the way.

If that doesn't secure us a host spot with UCSB losing a series to Cal Poly (RPI 133), then nothing will.
Since getting destroyed in games 1 and 2 at Arkansas, LSU is 7-2 with two 1-run losses. And one of those was obviously the 17-inning game.

Being able to only go 7 is huge for us going into tomorrow. Now if we somehow get by Vandy, I have no idea what we would do Sunday

You are 3-2 vs MSU and in conference semifinals. I’d say yes, you will host.

With a depleted pitching staff we had to have our bats come alive tonight to have a chance to advance to our 7th straight semi-finals and fortunately we got that along with the bull pen stepping up again...
I doubt we make it to the finals but I think we did enough to secure a host site which was the goal of this tourney...

WTF? It is the SEC tourney and we are a national seed, look at the big picture and be glad we did not abuse the pitching staff while remaining focused on the big prize, we have far bigger fish to fry.
Congrats LSU, hope you get a regional out of this win and are paired up with someone else far away from StarkVegas.

No because they are deeper in pitching. We user nothing but bullpen to beat them the first game. We have some very good freshmen who have shown good stuff but lets be honest, our bats have been in a huge slump lately (Especially Westburg and Mangum) and losing McNamme who is the soul of this team outside Mangum was a big loss.
Gotta forget this game and hope we get out of this hitting slump and that McNamme is back for regionals. Time to move on.
