It's hard to win against a top 3 team in the country when you've played 5 games and they have only played 3. This week was a good confidence boost for our team this week though.

Because we really didn't have anyone else. Caracci is our closer and we didn't want to put him in with risking him having to pitch multiple innings. He's already seen a good bit of work during the tourny and we need him for the regional. Had we taken the lead in the top 9th, he would have come in to close it.
Olenek has shown some good stuff coming in as a short relief. Problem is you're bound to give up a hit eventually.

Olenek has been okay late in the season. 1st pitch fastball was a bad choice. But Ole Miss was out of pitchers. Bats made it a ball game but they choked late. Ole Miss was never gonna win this game on their pitching

Good game, Vandy! We did much better than I thought we would do, and y’all played hard as frick and didn’t give up. So props.

After the dust settled being up 9-3....you could see we were going to struggle after realizing those 9 runs came on only 5 hits.

Heck of a effort, rebels. Played on fumes and showed the fight that the Coach called them out on last week.
Do games like this really affect seeds or hosts? This one ended at 7:30 Eastern.

This game had no effect on host sites. They will be announced in 30 minutes

Damn. I turned it off at 7-0 in 4th. I figured Ole Miss was gonna win it again. Vandy will probably will the CWS this year.
