I think we should be ok. RPI is 3rd and most of the projections had us around the 4th national seed. We might drop a bit but I doubt we fall out of the top 8.
A projection I saw that came out yesterday had Georgia at the 9 seed. 0-2 doesn't help.

At this point I question if we have the mindset to make it out of an Athens regional. A Super spot would be nice recognition of the season we’ve had but I’m not certain how useful it will be in light of the past 2 Days

Jesus the guy walks 2 in the first but instead of working the count lets all go try to kill the first pitch and go down in FIVE pitches...pathetic approach there

it's indeed maddening - and changes inning to inning with this club this season.

there are times they play up to the longstanging Gamecock baseball pedigree - and times they look completely clueless.

I think UGA deserves a Super, but baseball tends to be a good ole boy committee if there's a set of teams that consistently hovers in that top 8 all year. I don't know who they'd bump out to give UGA the spot. Florida, Oregon State, Stanford, and North Carolina are locks. I'd like to think Arkansas and Ole Miss are pretty solidly within the 8 as well. Clemson looks like they're wrapping up their seed playing really well in their tournament. Then it becomes a tossup between Georgia, Texas Tech, Florida State, and possibly even Stetson for that last spot.

Always really hard to predict what the committee will do. UGA has gotten a lot of love from recent projections, hoping they don’t lose their spot.

Sorry I'm late but good game Georgia, I'll be cheering for y'all on decision day. You definitely deserve a super regional host IMO

LSU and SCAR are neck and neck in the 8th. Good game so far.

He did miss the tag, but that was undeniably an amazing throw from the outfield

Yep. The catcher gets up to try to apply a tag again until he saw that the ump was calling him out

Huh? He was as shallow as you can get with more than enough time to field moving forward.

It two hopped damn near rolled in.

A decent throw nails him

It was about medium depth and put the catcher in a great position to get the tag, just because it wasnt super deep doesnt make it a worse throw

Sure it does. Literally zero reason to have the first hip barely on the infield grass

Not sure we saw the same play.

Also, imagine if they had ruled that the runner left third early

Hoping this one doesn't go into extras as a neutral fan just so we can get games done as early as possible tonight

It wasn't a great throw. He two hopped home plate from shallow right. It was accurate at least, about all I can say for that throw.
