So, you get butthurt over nothing and have no idea what irony is. You sure are a winner.

I could see that. I forgot about him, honestly. Kid is a warrior, too.

The only other sure answers I would say is Hurts.

I think Patterson has a really good chance once he gets an off-season of starter reps. Fitzgerald is going to put up some really good numbers in the Miss. St offense. Eason has the potential but I don't really trust his coaching. Bentley looked impressive for a true freshman that young but once again I don't know if I trust that offense. Lock played well but needs to get some better talent around him. A lot of question marks after that.

Your list actually excites me, which is probably more than I can say for past years. Patterson and Fitz will be very exciting to watch, and Hurts will be back, but I'm still not completely sold on him. However, I'm sure he'll improve and prove me wrong.

With all the hype that came with Stidham, one would expect him to come in and tear it up, but I'm sure Gus and Lashlee will do their best to not let that happen

When I starting think about the QBs, it surprised me a little. Should be a good little list, assuming many of the younger guys improve with another year.

He obviously looks better with the pieces around him but is still a very good QB.

It is all a crap-shoot to a certain degree. I remember when we got Ricky Towns a little over a year ago from USC. He was a 5 star prospect and turned out to never make it past 3rd string for whatever reason. Rumors are the playbook but who knows.

Which two coaches' jobs are more in danger than Sumlin?

Coaches Hot Seat 2017
Brian Kelly at ND (4-8) and Todd Graham at Arizona State (5-7).

That is a better way to put it, he could still face some harsh penalties that don't include the Death penalty but he should survive them all.

I'm hoping he will survive it. If he hasn't gotten fired because of the NCAA stuff by now, I don't know if he will.

Todd Graham I can see, but Brian Kelly has at least 5 career seasons under his belt greater than anything Kevin Sumlin has ever accomplished, including 3 conference titles (1 CMU, 2 Cincinnati), 3 11+ win seasons, and 7 9-win seasons.

I don't understand Smart being on the list considering he's a sophomore HC who hasn't had time to finish recruiting his first class.

So you think Stidham is going to be one of the best QBs in the conference next year?

Yes, next question.

Even though I said prospect, I will humor you. I don't see how he wouldn't be. Who's going to be better?

I don't necessarily disagree with you but Notre Dame job isn't the same as the A&M job.

HC's fired by AU since 1951: 4 (Barfield, Bowden*, Tuberville*, Chizik)

(* denotes officially "resigned")

We've only fired one HC with a tenure of fewer than 5 full seasons (Chizik). I think that's become pretty standard for most P5 programs nowadays.

That said, Gustav should be on this list somewhere. He'll have to win 10 or more to keep his job. Only concern for most of us is who would pick his replacement.

Bielema is not on the hot seat nor will he be next year.If we had the recruiting classes of some of these other schools and had his results I'd say he would be.He still has work to do,and I believe he will have good success here if given the chance.

Patience is hard to find these days...

Only 4 in over 60 years, but the last 2, both of who had undefeated seasons since 2000. One guy had built the team back into a perennial (biennial?) power and had a 7 game win streak vs Bama; the other won a national title only a couple seasons before. Itchy trigger finger, definitely compared to your past.
