I can't believe some have him as high as 8. But I think this will be the 3rd or 4th guy taken in the 1st round from SMS in last 20 years, not bad.

Rheinecker
Detwiller
Burger

I know Howard was a 4th rounder, Mays was a 3rd rounder, and Hart was 6th. Usually the SMS guys start going from 8 to 12.

Can someone break down the pitching situation for both teams going into tonight (Arkansas - Missouri State)?

SMS bunch of nobodies until the closer
Arkansas has better Middle guys.

Arkansas has more power arms also.

If Witherspoon hasn't pitched it may be him, he is a lefty. Knutson already threw the Saturday game, so doubt they bring him back to start.

Who would be your guess on a starter, not that the starter matters that much for either team

I am thinking Witherspoon, a lefty pitched midweek games. But you never know what G and Lump will do.

I mean I was shocked they only let Coleman go 100 pitches last Saturday.

I forgot, did Knight only throw vs 1 hitter last night? He started vs MU, so could be him.

I feel like we are gonna aggy it up today and lose two in a row. Just a reaction to any potential success I guess.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. I'm not a fan of the all synthetic fields but how terrible is Houston's field with what looks to be a synthetic black mound. Just terrible. Should prohibit them from hosting.

Serious though what is the benefit/ point?

Yes, it has been discussed. We all hate it.

The only benefit is to save cost. Long term its easier to buy a fake field than maintaining a grass one.

During the summer when it's hot and the sun is shining it probably makes the opposing pitcher light-headed and have a case of hot-foot. Must be like standing in an oven.
