Tennessee can knock that kind of renovation out in an afternoon. Best construction crew on the planet.

It can't be that hard to move the seat number stickers 6" closer together.

First game in 2016:

UT: 160,000

And only 80,000 will be able to actually see the game.

This game isn't about being able to see the game really well. It's more about o well you know playing in the biggest football game in history under the lights at Bristol with College Gameday there and with the opportunity to tailgate all day beforehand in a ridiculous atmosphere.

A Nascar track. The perfect venue for that game.

That 77k figure is wrong. It doesn't include the reduction in seating because of the smaller area of the hill and removal of bleacher seats in front of hill. Correct number is between 72 and 74.

The majority of those seating capacities are wrong.

Yeah those schools and capacities are definitely mismatched.

I see a future when large capacity stadiums top out around 80,000, more like the NFL. Stadiums will renew their focus on amenities and fan comfort. Chairbacks will become standard all around college football.

I'd be fine with a stadium of 70,000 with all or most of it being chairbacks.

I think Kentucky is ahead of the curve this time around. I wish they'd go ahead and make our entire upper decks chairbacks.

we should play a game on the moon. No one would be able to watch it except on a shitty internet stream with about 30 seconds of delay.

BUT OMG SO AWESOMESAUCE.

There are always going to be outliers, but 80k is a good number.

I'd probably spend more time in the stadium if they tore down the upper decks on the east side and put in a bigass party deck. That would be so frikkin awesome. Put a bunch of bars in, maybe a couple restaurants.

I've been asking for this to happen to the interior of TS using the dorms.

I agree. The more I think about it, the more I think LSU did this expansion right. Almost entirely premium seating, with the only exceptions being the 1,500 visitor seats and the SRO areas.

Most people wanted to see this, originally:

Talk about unnecessary.
