I mean 1 conference title? I know we spent decades as an Independent but nearly every team has had random seasons in well over a century of football where they at least have a handful.
Reminds me of A&M, SCar at least has a modern top 4 finish (2013) and your fans don't pretend that you are a traditional power. Both have had coaches who've won NCs elsewhere: Stallings, Bryant, Fisher, Holtz, Spurrier...
How is Paul Dietzel remembered there? He won LSU's first NC as a coach (1958)

UCLA, Tennessee and Texas A&M don't have a conference title since 1998.
Nebraska doesn't have one since 1999.

Our only conference title came in 1969 and was when we were in the ACC.

Of course at the end their delusion comes out. Clemson would be a top program in every conference including the SEC.
