I take back my comments last week about hating the SEC.

Greg said this today

"“We have received and reviewed the Committee of Infractions report involving the University of Missouri. We are seeking to understand the committee’s decision related to the severity of the penalties applied to Missouri, particularly in light of the university’s exemplary cooperation in the case. Consistent with our standard approach to support member universities, the SEC Office stands ready to advise and assist in Missouri’s appeal process.”

The Texas conference would never.

If it's one thing the SEC office is good at, it's finding creative ways to tell the NCAA to frick itself.

I can tell you this.

All day today, after the announcement, local radio here (callers and hosts alike) were enraged that Mizzou got hit with these penalties and everyone was saying the conference should pull out of the NCAA.

Most cited the UNC scam of course and a few UNC fans called in and basically laughed and said frick Mizzou and frick the SEC.

(And some people in this conference actually want those assclowns in the SEC.)

Even the jayhawk fans in this area were calling in to say what a load of bullshite the penalties were and siding with Mizzou...it was almost like hell freezing over.

If Mizzou doesn't win their appeal then the NCAA is full of shite. I'm rooting for you guys in this one.

Sankey needs to go.
he was also the chair of the COI that heard the unc targoats academic fraud case and delivered its final ruling of...no punishment/penalties.

it's hard to believe he's the best the SEC can find to guide this conference.

It doesn't mean a damn thing. The SEC has gone so far as to "apologize" to the University of Arkansas for poor officiating in the 2009 Florida game and the 2014 Alabama game. It didn't change the outcome. The SEC is putting on a good face to defend the new-comer. The ban will not be lifted. Ole Miss is living proof of this. The SEC only slings its weight for Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia.

As a Missouri fan, I’ve never been more proud to be in this conference. Having the conference at our back is turly special.

Ole Miss was straight up paying motherfrickers. It's bad enough Ole Miss has a racist reputation, but to go out and land 5* players??? Kind of hard for any commissioner to defend and stand behind that.

Mizzou just had one rouge tutor who cheated for the athletes. The university, as much as she wants to claim she was pressured into doing it, never told her to cheat for them.

I feel bad for Mizzou, they have been hit with the SJH culture and it has brought moral down in the Ozarks. I hope their appeal is granted and the allegations overturned. we need every school to be firing on all cylinders.

Wrong....

What Mizzou did was a lot worse.
They took from a student athelete by not providing them an education.

At least OM was paying these players.

Mizzou was taking from them.
