The basic premise is to cross the efficiency measure of the former, but across all positions, with the value principles of the latter -- hopefully as a way of more accurately depicting a given team’s returning production. Returning good players is more valuable than returning only average or subpar players, and not all production is created equal, so this should ideally prove to be more predictive than simply looking at the raw number of returning starters or the percentages of returning production.

How am I supposed to react to this?
This is unfamiliar and strange.

What I see when I look at that list is lots of opportunities for unproven guys to break through this year-especially freshman.

I honestly think people will be very surprised by A&M's backfield.
We may not be good at any other position...
..but I think we have some talent in the backfield and it will be a strenght.

Pretty good indication of how much of a down year last year was for LSU running back wise. Emery and Davis finna eat.

Normally I would be thinking LSU has a tough row to hoe with a suspect OLine and not much production returning at RB....but they got two outstanding RB's last recruiting season, so that won't be an issue at all. they won't miss a beat at RB.

Vaughn is a tough runner who takes advantage of a defense trying to limit the big play (i.e. Vandy is down by 14+ and the DC doesn't want shots downfield that save clock and give hope).

Perine is going to be a boss this year. Even Reggie Bush given him shout outs about his skills.
