Because most don't agree and Bama fans are melting over that. They want everyone to believe they are as good as they think they are. Plus they don't like the fact they look like they got in for biased reason and not from what they did (even though the Chairman admitted this).

The National Championship game was played this past weekend. Alabama vs. Georgia; close game, Alabama won. There is no way to fix this.
Maybe get rid of the league championship game; whoever is ranked the highest is the conference champ - congrats. Then take the top 8 teams and have the playoffs. It would be fairer than the current system. There is no way that Georgia is not in the top 4; they deserve a shot at the National title.

People keep talking about “muh undefeated P5 team” as if the P5 conferences are equal or as if being P5 is somehow sacrosanct. They are not and it is not. When your SOS is closer to G5 teams than to the top contenders (as is the case with FSU versus Bama and Texas) then “muh undefeated P5 team” doesn’t carry as much weight as you folks apparently think it should.

If you say so. Allow me to rephrase. Why are so many incredibly emotional and seemingly vested LSU fans starting so many threads saying the CFP was rigged? You just admitted the CFP got it right, so why are the other LSU fans losing their shite?

I wonder how Alabama would have fared against Florida State's schedule? I wonder how Florida State would have fared against Alabama's schedule? Perhaps the P5 conference schedules are equal. I mean, #5, #55. Basically 5s in both.

Based on the logic used by some on the SEC Rant, #17 SMU went 10-2 should be ranked ahead of #13 LSU who went 9-3. After all, SMU won their conference and won their conference championship game with a back up quarterback. They went 10-2 while LSU went 9-3 and didn't win their conference and SMU "did everything the committee asked of them" but they're relegated to playing an unranked 6-6 Boston College in a much lesser bowl game while LSU gets to play in a more prestigious bowl.

Where's the outrage for SMU?
