Not taking anything away from the other guys (this week and last week), but I don't know what Wes Clarke has to do to get standalone POTW honors

This is the 2nd straight week he's also won National Player of the Week honors by Perfect Game.

Sorry, but it should have been Sahvir Wheeler. Recorded the only triple double in the SEC this season and the first in school history on Wednesday.

The next game he didn’t play very well but broke Georgia’s single season assist record. Breaking two major records with one incredible performance should win him SEC POTW.

I mean it is pretty important to play well in both games to win that award in basketball.

Not sure there has been an SEC basketball player of the week that had 7 turnovers and was below 16% from the field in one of their games. Could be wrong though.

Which I acknowledged. He still racked up 7 rebounds and 5 assists at 5 foot 8.

How many SEC players in history have broken 2 major school records in a week?

You don't get special bonuses for that

You don't get a bonus for breaking school records if you played a bad game overall. If he just had an average game by his standards in the second game then he probably would have won the award but he had one of his worst of the year.

Sorry

It was a heck of a performance though, so hat’s off to him.

Do you really want to get in an argument about things that are stupid and terrible? Your username will be at the top of the list.

That is too funny. I was a little surprised to see her up there as well. We need more good volleyball teams!

Also since they were just announced.

Men's Tennis
Co-Player of the Week: Alabama's Riccardo Roberto
Co-Player of the Week: Florida's Andy Andrade
Freshman of the Week: Tennessee's Johannus Monday
Newcomer of the Week: Florida's Blaise Bicknell

Women's Tennis
Player of the Week: Florida's McCartney Kessler
Freshman of the Week: Arkansas' Indianna Spinks
Newcomer of the Week: Kentucky's Carlota Molina

Men's Golf
MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Jackson Suber, Ole Miss
MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Dan Erickson, Texas A&M
MEN'S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Tyler Wilkes, Florida

Women's Golf
All SEC teams were still playing today but I imagine the POW will be Lois Kaye Go, South Carolina. She finished 2nd in the Gamecock Intercollegiate.
