State has a QB, but not a surrounding cast to beat Bama. People forget this team was 5-7 in the regular season last year.

State will be better next year. Probably looking at an 8-4/9-3 type season, but they aren't beating Bama.

Wins
Charleston Southern
Louisiana Tech
BYU
UMass
Kentucky
Ole Miss

Toss Ups
LSU
Georgia
Arkansas
A&M

Losses
Alabama
Auburn

I'm not sure anyone has actually forgotten that. It's one of the reasons I asked why a loss to State, in particular (what's Cubelik's reasoning for such a prediction). That said, a bad prior season doesn't necessarily mean that the next one will be similar. Hell, Auburn has often provided proof enough that a team's performance the season before doesn't necessarily accurately predict that team's performance in the one that follows.

He thinks Fitzgerald is going to be the best offensive player in the league next year.

I'm assuming he envisions Fitz playing a Deshaun Watson type game against Alabama.

If you looked at those AU teams you saw a reason for the following seasons record. AUs problems and success start with their QB (like most SEC Schools), then you have to look at the surrounding cast. The years they were good, they had a good QB and a good surrounding cast. The years they were bad, they had a poor QB and a good surrounding cast.

The hot take it seems every year is trying to find the next Tebow, Cam or Johnny.

I know he became a bright spot for State but that's a pretty big prediction.

Even if he is the second coming of D.Watson, Moo State's defense will still give up 50+ to bama. And most other teams.

tDecline is real. In FACT, Alabama loses to both tMSU & 0le Mi$$! After 0le Mi$$ forfeits the 2 games over Bama, they will get a 1 game winning $treak over Bama in the last 50 years!

While I don't fault you for saying this, due to the pile of shite we called a defensive unit last season, you are wrong in assuming it will be the same next year.

We are bringing in Todd Grantham, and whatever you may think about him, he is without a doubt a vast improvement over Peter Sirmon. We had athletes on defense last year, but had no one to coach them.

We will have as many high 4 star type guys on defense as anyone in the SEC minus Bama and LSU. We signed 3 4* JUCO D-lineman and two 4* DB's to add to last years group. Our front 7 will be in upper third in the SEC as far as talent goes.

However, we will not beat Bama, and it won't be due to our defense. It will be due to our lack of talent at the wide receiver position.

Our D will be stout though. Most improved unit in the SEC next year.

He outlines it in his tweet. He thinks Alabama's pass rush is going to struggle. State and FSU are the two teams he thinks have offenses, and QB's specifically, who will exploit that.

It seems like Bama was hurt back in 2010 when team after team had bye week advantages vs them. I haven't seen Bama's schedule
