SEC men's tennis update, standings

Here are the standings as there are only two more conference weekends left. (ITA national rank listed first)
#4 Kentucky 9-0
#7 Tennessee 8-1
#8 Texas A&M 7-2
#14 Mississippi State 7-2
#32 Auburn 4-4
#19 South Carolina 4-5
#23 Alabama 4-5
#29 Florida 4-5
#38 Georgia 3-6
#41 Arkansas 2-6
#48 Vanderbilt 2-6
#59 Ole Miss 2-7
#37 LSU 1-8
LSU has had a rough SEC season after a strong non-conference, which is why they remain in the top 40 despite the 1-8 conference record.
Kentucky keeps chugging along and winning despite losing all that talent from last year's team.

Yes. Women’s. Mizzou doesn’t do men’s.
I don’t want to knock on men’s tennis, I’m actually a fan, but it simply makes no sense as a D1 sport. D1 men’s tennis does nothing for the sport itself or for the schools sponsoring it. All it does is lock out a title9 wrestling or hockey team.

I don't even know what you mean by "does nothing for the sport itself," but you can say the same about wrestling.

Not sure what this means. There have more pros who have chosen college tennis in recent years. Ben Shelton being a prime example. It’s very fun to see the usually individual sport in the team aspect in college tennis. 6 matches going on at once.
Great college tennis matches where the crowd is into are a great time. Just cause you don’t have it at Mizzou doesn’t mean it’s a worthless college sport

D1 wrestling is the top of the sport. The athletes move on to the Olympics, to be great coaches, and also go pro in everything from MMA to WWE.
I can’t think of a famous pro tennis player who even finished high school and there are lots of competitive opportunities at every level of college for amateurs who want to play while getting an education. D1 tennis isn’t on the map as far as the sport goes, so why have it?
